    Rotherham

Any thoughts on this one? Despite our recent away exploits in cups and against north-eastern teams, I cannot see us getting anything from this. I am influenced by Saturdays performance and I can't see where a goal is coming from. However, there is always the possibility that the Alex are better under pressure rather than when they have to take the initiative themselves.
Whatever, I just can't see it happening tonight. 0-3.

I've been told that our team is likely to be very inexperienced tonight. I will go with a 4-0 loss.

It sounds strange but the spares may not have had the negative coaching and could play with a lot more freedom...ie like normal footballers should...Keep the management coaches out of the bloody way is my recommendation...Jimmy Greaves once asked his new manager how he should play and the reply was 'go and enjoy yourself son'..The manager then went off to play golf while his team got on with the game...This is true and a good thing...I notice that Preston has a choice of three other coaches to stand in for Ryan Lowe...These clubs must be made of money to employ all these non producers...Get rid and let them all work at B and Q where they would be better qualified for the job..

Nobody everr coached Jimmy Greaves, George Best, Bobby Charlton nor 1000 others...I wonder why some people think good or even bad players need coaching in the modern era! ...You are either good enough or not good enough, dead easy!

I would suggest a 2-0 win! For Crewe of course!

If you are correct makes no sense to me. Would have thought that after the Barrow shambles our 1st team squad would need every competitive game time possible.

Is this a big clue to what to expect on Saturday. More of the same from the most negative team in the EFL

Seven changes from the weekend. Not quite as young a side as I was led to believe, but answers on a postcard please, who is our centreforward?

So set up for 5-3-2. Lankester and Tracey as the front 2. So a bit of pace going forward and we now Lankester can score.

Almost every corner and free kick has been overhit.

Quite a scrappy game but a better performance tonight. One old problem - too easily knocked off the ball. One new problem - winning very few defensive headers , a problem which led to both goals.
Didn't expect much from this game. Perhaps next season we'll get a decent home draw.
