Cracking day for our first league home game of the season. The club are really trying behind the scenes this summer. We seem to have a calm competent manager so let's get behind the players we have available.

An absolute lethal attack but enough about the gulls. We were very lucky to get the win but so important to get 3 points on the board. A great cameo from Walker and a good second half from McKechnie and Benji.
Cove were ordinary but we gave them so much encouragement. Their number 10 had a good game with an absolute late snorter of the bar. I wonder who's next up at Palmerston.

We were extremely lucky to get away with not being well beaten today. However, we defended well, once the Ross lad was moved ( and removed at half time) - and we competed very well in the 2nd half.
I suspect the strong wind played a big part in proceedings, adding to overhit passes and dehydration for all.
Cove certainly played their part and were very unlucky when they hit the bar near the end. .......as soon as it left his boot, I thought it was in.
Next week will be a cracker.

Just to add, the lads gave 100% and that's the huge difference from last season. Yes, we were undoubtedly fortunate, but the work rate resulted in the goals as well as blocking all the Cove attempts.
If that's a depleted team we are watching, then we have a very positive season ahead.
