...and it was a nice goal - lovely cross straight on to Foster's head who was unmarked in the middle of the goal.
Looking good and no threat from Blackburn yet.

Not even a threat and they score a wonder goal. It got them back in the game but we're still bossing it though they are looking dangerous on the break.

Yes, and that is how most team are going to play against us this season. Get behind the ball and let us try to break them down. The key issue for us is lack of real striking ability. We could have done with a fast goal getter in the window. The lack of I think will haunt us and cost.

At least we got a point and perhaps only the absence of VAR meant we did not slump to a 1-2 defeat which was my pre-match prediction. A lot of new faces in the team so all in all I am pleased with the point if not the second half performance.

The perennial problem of trying to break down a packed defence strikes again.

Impressed by the performance more than the result today, thought we were miles the better side , they were just a hardworking team who defended quite well.
We showed some good signs for going forward , thought Perez & Anthony linked up well showed signs of a good partnership between them down the left.
Laurent impressed with his workrate and tackling , he did the simple things well in Cullens role with a physical presence.
Hanibal looks a quality footballer , Foster impressed again on his own up top , good movement and touches.
    Koleosho looks lively & energetic.
Esteve looks a top player , so some very positive signs I thought and I think we'll get better as the season goes on.

Can’t agree more with these comments. Benson on for five minutes then injured. What makes SC think JRod can change things is beyond me he should be no where near this level. I can only think Jarod is delusional he wouldn’t catch in Non League. Egan Riley on for 6 minutes and nearly gifted 2 chances to Rovers another who should be no where near at this level. Now I must say the BR goal was outstanding but no one any where near unmarked and unchallenged and again Trafford caught off his line again similar to first half when will this lad ever learn. Think NU have dodged a bullet he will not make the grade if he is as thick as a brick. Lastly we have not addressed the one area that was lacking all last season and now this season - an attacker who knows how to score. I can hear the remarks like 4 at Lutron and 5 against Cardiff but we certainly do not have anyone able to present a danger to defences.
