    Farcical

Burnley FC is a multi million pound business entirely dependent on the playing squad. The business supposedly is run by
experienced business people, however after today we have 4 working days left to sort out our squad for the season which is
currently underway.A 5 year plan? In 5 DAYS we have what many believe to be our most important fixture of the season
against our local rivals and we haven't got a clue who will be the 11 players to take the field.I don't think I have ever been
so angry as I am today about Burnley FC.If BT sends his season tickets back I wouldn't blame him.

What is all this rubbish being talked about the most important game of the season taking place this week?
It is just another game of football against a local team that our fans love to mock.
If we lose, the world does not come to an end, life will go on regardless and we will continue to fulfil another 42 fixtures in the Championship, some of which we will win, some we lose and some we draw. No dramatics needed for one simple game of football.

Well said super. I think some people on here are losing the plot. Nothing new there then for some. You would think that the players left at the club are absolutely useless, which is not the case.

We are 3 games into a season with a new manager, players wanting to dessert the ship and the manager seems to want rid of those who do not wish to be here, which is fair enough as far as I am concerned.
We have two more points at this stage of the season than we had two seasons ago, a season which saw us lose our third game away at Watford 0-1.
After 12 matches in that season we had won 4, drawn 7 and lost 1 and had scored 19 and conceded 12 and were doing better than any of us expected with a 'new' team.
Let's not think about promotion, let's think about consolidation and support the manager and players who are eventually left to ply their trade on the field. Scott will need to show super powers of motivation to bring this set of players back round to positive thinking.

Fail to prepare and (You know the rest).

The financial implications if we are in this league next season don't bear thinking about and it is one hell of a job to get back -
    Portsmouth,Sunderland etc etc

Earlier this summer our owners stroked their chins and pondered for six weeks before deciding on the manager. It was as though they had all the time in the world, but now with just a few days of the window left they've nipped round to BT's and borrowed his well used trolley, ready for the annual last minute supermarket dash in search of bargains, essentially so we can actually field a team against Blackburn that has some sort of chance.

We're supposed to be run by financial experts, I can't make my mind up whether they're chancers or just a bunch of comedians.
