Jodi Jones and Dan Crowley are still Notts County players.
That makes it a good transfer window for me.
Deserves its own thread.

"Our board of directors have offered their reflections on a busy summer of transfer activity.
Our aim is to end every transfer window with a stronger squad than we started it with, while always making responsible decisions with the long-term financial sustainability of the club in mind.
We’re confident that we’ve achieved those objectives this summer and have every belief that, while League Two is shaping up to be an extremely strong division once again, the squad we’ve assembled is capable of competing for promotion.
Our ambitions are reflected in our actions throughout the window, with 13 quality signings arriving at Meadow Lane and several substantial bids for our key players, right up until the end of the window, being rejected.
While there are never any guarantees in football, the club is in a strong position both on and off the field to build on our very promising start to the season and we’re excited to see how the campaign unfolds.
Thank you to our fans for your fantastic continued support. We look forward to seeing nearly 1,000 of you at Swindon tomorrow.
Chris Reedtz, Alex Reedtz and Richard Montague"
Note the sentence I've highlighted in Bold. Keeping those players is better than new signings and we'll have risked losing out financially at the end of the season when contracts finish.

I'm a proud 'apologist' this evening. COYP!
Proud of the summer business overall, particularly the rejection of bids for, presumably, Crowley, Jones or both.
For what it's worth, if Brown got drunk and slapped a drunken woman who was allegedly being racist towards him and pulling his hair in the street then, I agree, even that provocation doesn't make it acceptable to slap her. However, he's paid his fine and has sought and received help for his drinking problem and, in my opinion, deserves a second chance, provided he's straightened himself out. If you are of a different opinion that's fine of course, we're all entitled to them whether apologist, bedwetter or somewhere in between.

I agree with the board statement wholeheartedly. I believe that the current squad has more potential as a result of the signings made and key players retained. I can't wait for today's game.
Of course none of this statement will mean anything to CBP who knows better than the owners and employees off the club.if only we had employed CBP to train , manage and hire our players and oversee the finances for the club..!!! Forget anything that has gone before this seems to be the owners biggest mistake not harnessing CBP's wisdom and knowledge!! Shame on them...!
