Saw them 2nd half against Chessie. Won 1-0, nothing to fear. Chessie should have won

Just had a Quick Look through their league results/stats so far this season. Interestingly they’ve only once had the lions share of possession, and that is against what is looking like a weak Morecambe side…and that was only just in their favour.
They seem to concede more efforts on goal than what they create but they are pretty clinical with those chances they do get. It looks like they concede a lot of shots on goal but they seem to have a pretty stingy defence. Whether they limit their opponents to long range efforts, just have a great goalie, or so far have rode their luck, it isn’t clear why they haven’t conceded more. Perhaps Notts will be able capitalise on the chances that other teams haven’t so far been able to do.
I haven’t seen them play, but their low possession stats suggest to me they play a direct style of football. This concerns me a bit, teams very rarely play through us but those long balls through the middle have caught us flat footed numerous times already and if we’re not careful they look to have the players that can capitalise all too willingly.
If Platt and Bedeau in particular can dominate their forwards and win their battles early I think we’ll be in business, if they don’t then I think we could see a score draw on Saturday…probably 2-2….and probably some defensive blunders or misunderstandings on our behalf from a simple ball over the top!

They have the fifth-highest xGA per 90 in the league at 1.42 and the lowest GA at 0.33. Either their defence is super-human or they've been pretty lucky. Still won't be an easy match.
Think it's got 1-1 draw written all over it tbh.
Or maybe 3-3
From memory they went man for man last season the same as Mansfield and we couldn’t handle it.
So far Grimsby and Accrington have tried that and failed miserably. I’m not sure what Bromley’s game plan was as I don’t think they knew what to do with a two goal lead.
I think we’re fitter and sharper this season and can handle the man for man approach much better…at least I hope so!
I feel a 4 1 Notts win
It’s great to have a whatfeelslikeabiggame so early in the season. We all know how these turned out last season so hopefully we’re better prepared this time out. What are we expecting crowd wise, 12,000ish possibly?
I think last season’s game against these kicked off our 5 game losing run at home so none of that now please. I’m guessing no more than 2 players who started that will start this, some turnaround in the space of 6 or 7 months.
