    A Funeral at a Theatre.

Its not hard to think of a football ground as a theatre, the pitch is a stage.

And of failure, that failure on the pitch can turn into a funeral, that upon death, not more people come, but less.

And so it will be tomorrow at the Abbey Stadium, not a funeral, but it will be by 5-00, that another defeat...... ask not for whom the bell tolls.

    For it tolls for thee.

Give the public what they want to see and they will come, and that is aimed at me, that to see United lose would please me. Unlike those who will go, they want to win Mr Board.

How things change, 1970 United 1 Lincoln 1, Meldrum heading that first league goal, and i cared. The emotions during a game are profound, especially when things start to go wrong, that feeling of doom, disaster grows, and at United, more so than other clubs.....there are no bestial outcrys, bellowing, rattling or owt else. What you get is silence.

Barry has the mentality of a third rate village policeman, that he and his board havent realised that results is all there is, winning is priceless.

It behoves to me that something else is at work.

Tomorrow, a funereal silence will will be like a smoke, a gas. And at half time, will you get the Beatles, Brahms, or Handel? No, you will get some nonsense from pimply youths.

Where is the class?, Cambridge is a superior residence, of a higher timbre, where can that be observed at the Abbey.

It cannot be observed on the pitch, indeed, the fans might as well be watching Bognor. That to win, and win well cannot be achieved and hasnt been for some time, if at all recently.

Can it be observed by looking at sweeping buttresses, Roman columns, norman turrets, drapes, robed staff, plumes, a feeling of immense wealth.

    No.

United are as working class as Port Vale, Burslem, the bull ring, Sparkhill, Fegg Hayes, Trent Vale. And at full time like a donkey had split your difference. And that will hurt.

Crrying wont help, mourning, depression, gloom. Alls thats left is....

    Silence.

Hospital theatres are called thst because surgeons in Victorian times used to do autopsies and stuff to paying audiences in proper theatres, the more that you paid the closer you sat

The autopsy after the Lincoln defeat will show the United carcass is riddled with poison. injected by the board. Dublin strikes me as a good man, surely he will walk away from this and preserve his good name.
