    Hugill

I hope the admins don't mind him having his own thread, because it is a waste of time discussing this man on the matchthread.

Today was a big chance for him and he was worse than awful, the lad from Forest must wonder what he has to do to get a run of minutes ahead of this bloke. A couple of balls came into the box and he was nowhere near, he makes little effort and doesn't seem to have any skills other than falling over and winning a few free-kicks. My dog can control a ball better than him and she is 70 in dog years.

I said the other day it is time for him to be told to leave, it should be made clear to him he has no future at the club and in January we will take any offers for him on a permanent move, and a full 75% wage payment loan move. Evans making him captain today was a joke, he might be a professional football expert that Evans but his assessment of Hugill seems a little inaccurate. We cannot afford to carry him in the squad the whole season, he is taking a large part of the budget and contributes very little.

Now I know it is hard to get rid of a player if he is happy to sit and take the money, but you don't have to play him and you don't have to make him captain. I have no idea whether he is a nice bloke, he could be the nicest guy on the planet, but he is a round peg in a Rotherham United square hole and the professional football experts at the club need to do everything they can to move him on, it will be for the best for all parties.

He brings nothing at all to the forward line. He can't control a ball, he is poor in the air, spends most of his time on his arse, passing poor, shots to goals ratio poor. One of his freeish headers at goal from a good cross was abysmal. We use the big boot style up to the forwards heads but none of them are good in the air. The best is probably nombe who is the smallest.

Get rid of him yes but there has been no interest in him which says it all

Ironically I actually like Hugill but I agree with pretty much everything you have said here. UTM

I've exhausted my thoughts on Hugill late last season and as it became clear that other clubs see what many of us fans do ahead of this season.

He doesn't belong here. He doesn't care a toss about the club. He won't find form. As a bloke, off the pitch, I have no idea what he's like... as a footballer, on the pitch, I'm pretty gutted he came, and more so that we're stuck with him.

He’s here for the money and we’re stuck with him.

But you don't have to make it easy for him and certainly don't make him captain

Evans got rid of Eaves, similar wage, similar deliverance on the pitch (crap) so, why can't Evans offload him in January?

We have 23 registered players so is there something left somewhere budget wise? If so, that says he too can be paid off to leave or, is what is left to be used for the never ending Odoffin saga contract?

    Never rated him.

Same can be said for Nombe who cost us 1 MILLION POUNDS

JCH lessons not learned signing has been strikers. Strolls around like he's Billy big balls and he's also stealing a last wage.

Why cant everyone see the common denominator here? Rob Scott, Paul Douglas and whoever are working under them. Rob Scott got rewarded with his failure by being promoted.

This is why I've lost it with Tony Stewart. Time to walk

You're right MAM. Rob Scott has got away with some horrendous recruitments probably because he follows the chairman's edicts. I just don't see any future under this guy who,you would reasonably suspect , never went into football club ownership with any intention of losing personal money. Like many many more i wish he would quickly sell up.

Wasn't a Miller, isn't a Miller and will not be remembered as one. Can't blame him personally but at least he could pretend a bit more while he's here.
