LCL injury - 8-12 weeks recovery time expected but in more severe cases can take up to 6 months!

In my younger days I had a similar injury.


I think that 90 days would be on the conservative side. It's probably better than a bad hamstring or abdomen issue.

It's nice that we went with some extra numbers on the transfer window. Tanaka, Rothwell, Largie, Byram are looking pretty good right now. You can't replace Ampadu but at least it's not a huge drop off.

Collateral knee ligament is rope like and very exposed. It is an injury that occurs a bit in football because of tackling and challenges from the side. Will be fine when comes back. If he doesn't need surgery, 12 weeks should be sufficient.

Interestingly, we have let a lot of players who can play this position leave in the last few seasons:
Gray, Phillips, Kamara, Forshaw, Adams, greenwood, to name a few.
