Watching the TV today and the Brother of the West Brom fan who sadly lost his life, was being interviewed.
He stated that it took between 10-12 minutes before a de - fib machine was brought to attempt to aid the situation. In light of this occurring he is demanding a full coroner's inquest as to why it took so long for it to arrive.
Tearful and clearly upset, he went on to explain he wanted the full inquest, as he doesn't want this to happen to any other fan who suffers an illness like where his brother lost his life. Not to say the de-fib may have saved him but, it clearly highlights a delay why this took so long.
I recall early this season a Millers fan taking ill in the family stand. The Ref was notified, the game was stopped immediately then our club Doctor assisted by the St John's Ambulance team were up in the stand in no time, de- fib machine with them.
Not saying we are any better, plus the stand our fan was in was much lower down than where the Hillsbrough incident occurred
in their top stand but, it does highlight more de-fibs are required if a situation is at a greater distance where someone needs to be treated more quickly.

Saw this myself Brin he went on to say he’d not had ANY contact with Wednesday hierarchy not an apology explanation or anything absolutely shocking he did say he’d had messages of support from Wednesday fans good on em 12 minutes does seem a heck of a long time
uttis, I didn't want to bring anything in like what you say but just to highlight the delay. Yes, no contact how disgustingly poor is that?
Wasn't it last season they advertised for a new Ground Safety Manager? Be interesting to see/hear what they have to say about it all.
Swfc.s legal team and Insurers may have advised them to be careful what they say.
Still doesn’t make it right though and they could at least have said something subject to proof reading
If I were swfc I’d be asking Cambridge United what they do in an emergency
flour, I gave that some thought afterwards and came up with the same conclusion as yourself, in that they may have been told to keep shut in case it goes very legal with costs implications. Putting that aside, a courtesy call of any description surely should have been made instead of leaving the family so not recognised and ignored, deplorable.
