    Corberan

Obviously from the same college of caution as Tony Pulis, frightened to death to lose, Trying to contain a side for 45 minutes that offered practically no threat is ridiculous, Way too negative.as soon as we take the lead we offer no threat at all, sick to death of seeing Wallace, the guy offers nothing, playing with the handbrake half on is not what is required against teams like Oxford, 2 points lost again down to the manager, I really don’t think he’s the man to take us forward, far too negative

So would you not say he has taken us forward from where he started? i seem to remember a lot of supporters on here saying they would be happy for a top ten finish this season then we have a great start and everything changes we are guaranteed top 6 now we are having a poor run and all of a sudden we need to change the manager, we used to slag Villa and Wolves fans for being so fickle some of our fans are just as bad, CC can't change the squad in 1 window and still needs time, IMO if Ajayi is one of your first choice centre halves your in trouble we need someone good enough to play left back so Heggem can move to centre half, looking at this season its going to be a very close division and i would still hope we finish in the top 6 which for me would be a good season with this squad.

Most certainly has taken us forward from the depths of despair and done a good job with it, however every manager has his Achilles heel and limitations, Carlos’s seem to be over cautious and negative with a fixed plan, the substitutions today were awful and made us worse.
Personally I don’t think he can take us much further with his type of football, his style will not get us promoted and most certainly isn’t good enough for the Premiership

Southampton play great football maybe we should replace CC with Russell Martin when he gets the sack , i'm actually not convinced this is the way CC prefers to play but does because of the squad we have when he was at Huddesfield they had pace and were athletic and scored goals and to be honest were cheated in the play off final, i personally think we need at least one more summer window to clear some more players, the board state we are working to a plan which i'm pretty sure will involve CC it's just a matter of being patient we are going to be in and around the top 6 and i think we just need to hold our nerve.

It’s a weird one really as we were a couple of minutes away from it being a solid, professional job away from home.

The goal wasn’t coming either, as Oxford didn’t trouble us.

But then breathing room from a second goal would have safeguarded us against any risk of a come back. Given we were the better team, we could have pushed for the second and got it I think.

I agree that the subs weren’t right. I don’t know why Johnstone came on when we’re looking to contain. Not that this contributed towards the draw but it didn’t make sense for me.

I don’t think that anybody on this board want him to leave. He has done a great job for us. However, that doesn’t alter the fact that we could be more expansive when we go into the lead and should try to kill the game off instead of resolutely defending a single goal advantage.

Great manager. Really don’t understand the negativity. Really don’t. He’s nothing like Pulis. The team gave everything yesterday.

We were trying though. Grant had a certain goal deflected by a defender who didn’t know much about it at all. Good performance that ended in a draw. That’s all it is.

I read a couple of other boards and it’s interesting to see the thoughts of other Albion fans, I think the consensus is that the first half was good and we possibly should have gone in 2-0, however a lot of comments are directed at Corberan regarding the over cautious style of play ( trying to hold on to a 1-0 is always dangerous) , it doesn’t help when we started the season off in a positive fashion only to regress into our old slow ‘handbrake on’ style of play

I saw only a short bit of the Leeds v Sheffield U game but it seemed so very very different. Speed and aggressive style of play as against us with our slow, ponderous and unadventurous play.
