As I was sitting in my deck chair, just feeling lazy, somewhere on the eastern end of the Med, what seemed like a crazy Footymad activist was waving from this cruise ship at me. Is the boat on fire? Does he want to get off? Maybe the telly on board there does not work? Maybe he knows there is a Burnley game on T V? I think the latter?

Certainly was alf, just got home today after 31 days cruising to Canada, USA and France. Had a great time as usual, including seeing 82 year old Ron Carter playing with his trio at Birdland Jazz Club in New York. He is an absolute legend as far as we older bass players are concerned.

Sorry Balan, you must have great eyesight if you saw me ---it must have been another mad Claret lol

Which cruise company did you sail with Sub? We are currently looking for a reliable cruise company hopefully one which isn't penny pinching as we have experienced on our last two cruises.

We sailed with Princess and. although things have changed a lot in the last few years, we were very well looked after and had a smashing time. We have just completed over 1100 days sailing over a 35 year period and still enjoy it. We have travelled with Cunard, Princess, P&O, NCL and Celebrity and have a preference for Princess because the clientele are much more international and gives me chance to practice my language interests, although not so much on this last one which was 99% Brits. lol

Haven't seen it yet alf but will watch it when I get sorted out at home. I was well pleased with the result and the success this season.

Hi alf, I watched the match last night and it was a real cracker with the Warrior's defence being outstanding.
I had watched Shrewsbury v Exeter earlier in the evening and that was a good game for a neutral and more exciting than any amount of PL matches.

I also watched the NRL Final live on the ship and that was a good game with the Panthers again being Champions.
