This is more of a retitled remix really.

Originally "Fast Cars" on "How to dismantle an Atomic Bomb"
They're releasing a 20th anniversary edition and called it a shadow project with unreleased stuff on.

I do like this version of it though, I think I read an interview with The Edge who said they were trying to get back to basics with their new stuff, and this definitely feels like they've gone for that with the mix.
Unless they've completely re-recorded it, of course

I'm not as keen on the other one you posted, sounds a bit more like the direction they headed off into, which ultimately lost me as a fan.

Wasn't a fan of the original album. What else can they do they moved direction from their older stuff. See what they come out with next.
