    Annan v Queens

Derby Day this weekend when we travel down to Annan. 2 defeats in a row & the game being showed live on TV at 5.30pm will see the away support reduced to what it was been last season I’d imagine. Not a must win game but it’s one I feel we must take something from of there’s going to be a little bit of pressure on Murphy & Co. Hopefully he drops MacIntosh & tries something different

Need to have a right go at this lot on Saturday. We’ve plenty quality in the side so let’s start using it. Big Brennan played 45 minutes snd scored for the reserves yesterday. Hopefully he’s fit enough for the bench.

If only it were that simple Arrol. I have to agree that my faith in McIntosh as a goal-scorer is virtually none, - but the lad does work hard. Could another position be found for him?
Perhaps the subs bench is the answer, as Doherty is more direct and has more flair and power.

Dare I say it: I wouldn't mind Goss and Smith in our side.

Now this would be a great game to stop our appalling away record this season. Annan always give us a tough match but with skipper Douglas back following his suspension we have enough all round to come away with three points. Mon the South 👏👏

I agree Spike, - as long as he keeps the heid, - and doesn't earn another suspension. There will be many there to wind him up, - as happened to the poor young Threave lad last night.

Going by the chances created we should have won comfortably but it's the same old story of not converting opportunities. Didn't play that bad but and I am not sure what the solution is given our current squad.

Another unacceptable result & performance. Thst MacIntosh is dreadful, why oh why does he start ever week….?
I know it’s early doors but I think there’s now a bit of pressure on Murphy. 5 defeats in the league and no goals scored away from home - desire me. That’s grim reading

Well that was a grim spectacle. You'd think that Annan were the full time club.

Having listened to Murphy's post match interview it is pretty clear he does not know how to change our inability to score. Hoping we eventually score is not a plan. Why Dickenson was not subbed at the start of the second half is a complete mystery, McIntosh is totally ineffectual and the current options we have on the bench are no better. All this talk of waiting on injured loan players returning is clutching at straws. Something has to change as there will never be a better opportunity to gain automatic promotion.

It might be a bit controversial as although the rhetoric that has been driven is a new dawn, better feel around the place, improvement in all areas, etc, etc, etc, I'm seeing no improvement at all from last season. I could throw a few adjectives around from last night but will go with inept and clueless.

Fully aware there will be those with differing views however lack of goals/ideas, ever dwindling crowds and increasing apathy amongst the majority of fans doesn't lie. I'm as much in the dark as anyone else what the answer is but something needs to change
