    Careless Red Tories

Maybe the victim asked the MP to define who a working person was

I wouldn’t call that careless, that fellah has form!

I have no doubt the guy he punched was hardly an innocent bystander, no doubt behaving like a knob and being verbally abusive, but no excuse really for laying your hands on someone. We don't know the full story of course but it's not good by the look of it

Link worked for me…but fascinating that someone who is so critical of acrimonious and controversial political threads should be quite so quick to post…well an acrimonious and controversial political thread. Maybe they’re okay when they suit.

What can one say? Remember Ben Stokes?

Maybe the guy’s a ‘wrong un’ or maybe, as the clip intimates, he’s a man in his mid fifties who’d been threatened and fought back with a touch of the Prescotts.

Doubtless the truth will out and he has been immediately suspended. Not much more that can be done until we know more.

P.S. Always amazes me that some people’s first reaction these days is to get the camera out rather than try and intervene.

Not seen that claim anywhere apart from here. Do you have a source AF?

Just happened to be looking at today's threads...next time I'll wait a day or two so as to satisfy you as to my reticence to comment.

I still don't know what thread is about, as access to link is not permitted and I don't have a network administrator for advice. I assume it's our new scuffling MP?

Link works for me GP. It is, indeed, the, now suspended, Red Tory MP.

At the moment, I view it the same as I did the Police/Airport passenger head kicking case. On the basis of the end of the story, he hit the bloke because he felt threatened and might or might not have been justified in that. The follow up punches when the bloke was on the floor seem to be totally unjustified but, as we don't know what went on prior to the but we see, we should reserve judgment.

Indeed MA…also, never mess with those born in Wythenshaw and raised in Castleford. Quite a combination!

Here's two tier's chance to redeem himself.
Whatever the provocation, that assault was a disproportionate response.

What will 2-tier Kier; 2-tier policing and a 2-tier judiciary do about this then?
Will they apply the 'full force of the law'?
Will they arrest; charge; prosecute and hand down an immediate custodial sentence by next Friday?
    Will British justice prevail?
Will Mike Amesbury MP (Labour) be treated by the police and the courts in equivalence to how they treated Peter Lynch (RIP).
Remember Peter Lynch; an ordinary member of the patriotic British public who, like many others, seemed to be compelled to passionately protest on our streets against the sickening barbarity of the Southport massacre in which young British girls were murdered; stabbed; slashed and terrorized. His crime, was calling the police scum and having an offensive placaard. It appently warrented a 2.5 year jail sentence, for a first offence.
Let's hope the whole nation is watching this story like hawks to see what Starmer does next!
