    Wow. just Wow.

What a performance last night. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen Villa play some of the football they did last night. I keep expecting us to falter in true Villa style and wake up from this dream but it just keeps getting better. Maatsen was particularly impressive I thought and is unlucky not to be playing every week but Digne has upped his game.

Are we really ready to challenge for the top honours? Well I might be being greedy and slightly harsh but right back is a concern. Cash is not the quality of either Maatsen or Digne and Konsa is not the answer. Bailey looks a shadow of the player he was last season. Not sure what’s going on there but a goal would help. He’s a confidence player. I’d worry if Emi got injured. He’s such an influential keeper and we have unproven goalkeeping reserves. Morgan Rogers. What a player and if he could add a bit of composure in front of goal he has the potential to be up there with Bellingham.

Am I wrong to keep wanting more? It’s just been such a long time since 82! UTFV.

Totally agree. Not long ago we were in the championship and somehow we got promoted to the Premier league. Then scraping relegation for several years. Now in the champions league and arguably tital contenders. Our only weakness is probably right back. The squad is immense and so is our manager. We are now one of the best teams in Europe. Rogers what a buy!!!!

I can’t disagree with either of you.

No, Picasso, you are not wrong. UE repeatedly mentions that the fans are part of the project. Surely, we as fans should harbour the same expectations and ambition as UE and the Club.

UE knows where we need to strengthen, but he needs time to negotiate the tax introduced by the ‘Sky 6’ (FFP/PSR).

I'm not quite as bullish as Bongo just yet, I'm but loving the journey.

Great post Picasso, I'd say until we get the RB position sorted and Bailey hits form we aren't winning trophies - arguably Ramsey isn't the best option either out left, he looked way more comfortable/effective playing infield after the subs came on vs Bournemouth. I'd try Maatsen there, he is quick and used to attacking full backs - Rogers is a hell of a prospect along with Duran, they will only get better.

Good times and we are only getting started.
