I was speaking to a Stoke City fan last month while abroad, he said fans think a good keeper, but a bit suspect on gathering the ball, when crosses pumped in or from corners.

This performance reminded me of when we won 1-0 a couple of seasons ago, coincidentally at Stoke, where once again he was outstanding.

The biggest contractual cock up in the history of RUFC. Could have set us up for years. The lost funds on Ajayi, Ogbene are nothing compared to this.

West Brom thought they had the bargain of the season when they signed Semi. Now Stoke fans are saying the same. There's a pattern, and its not a good one.

LS, please tell us how you make someone sign when his Agent has told him not to and walk away and make lots more money?

Vik did sign though of his own volition. We didn’t make him do anything, we didn’t have to.
He signed a new contract that allowed him to leave if we got relegated.
It was him and his agent that suggested the £900k which was generous of him because he could have got an even bigger salary if Stoke didn’t pay us that.
Shows the type of person he is and he didn’t forget we saved him from a potential football scrap heap when released by Leicester.

The most surprising thing is that quite a few independent observers are saying he’s now the best keeper in the cship

So you’d have told Viktor no and let him walk for free? Genius.
