    Goals for/per game comparison

You read certain things from JG detractors saying he's negative and stuff which I don't agree with and so far stats back it up

    Last 4 top flight seasons
    2015/16 - GF 45 Gpg 1.18
    2020/21 - GF 32 Gpg 0.84
    2021/22 - GF 37 Gpg 0.97
    2022/23 - GF 40 Gpg 1.05

    This season upto now
    2024/25 - GF 19 Gpg 1.46

This kind of rate would lead to around 55 goals for

Interesting we got more goals for us in the two 12th place years than the 9th and 4th place seasons, defensive record significantly worse though which shows JG is getting it right, being solid to begin is most important and gives us a base to get results which is the be all and ends all

Personally enjoy watching this side and the flexibility within it, still plenty more to come once everyone is fit imo

Personally I think JG is now doing a great job

No surprise on the low number of goals scored in the Micky Mellon year

Yeah. If folk worry about the quality of our football you only have to go back to Mellonball and Neilson to see what you could have won.
Right now this side reminds me of a capable streetwise European team, confident to go anywhere.
Very football intelligent, very together and sometimes very deadly. And will likely only get better as the season progresses
