    A change is needed.

    Firstly defence.
Mael is making too many errors - IMO because his upper body strength isn?t strong enough and easily gets pushed off the ball. So then:
    Pines to middle CB.
    Roberts to right CB.
    Earl remains at left CB.
Pines is also likely to chip in with a few goals.

    Midfield:
    OKeefe - right wingback.
    Gent - left wingback.
On the performance against Cambridge then Nwakali has to start every game. He brings something completely different to the table - that?s his ability to pick out a pass that can unlock defences.
But who should be at the side of him?
Connell is an excellent defensive midfielder - but Russell has the height that causes opposition defenders problems and also the ability to get forward and score.

    Forwards:
We have major problems in the forward line.
Roll on the January window !!!
Currently we only have Humphrys that looks like scoring.
Phillips drops in and out during a game and is a luxury we can do without.
Dunn has yet to get going.
As much as I don?t like Cosgrove because he is a big target man but seldom brings the ball under control to bring in others - I still feel he has a role to fill as he?s that awkward to mark.

The forward line is where the major changes have to be made.
I hate the thought of playing players out of position - it obviously reveals a dip in recruitment - but needs must.
I?d try Cotter or even Lofthouse up front.
We all know Cotter goes AWOL in his defensive duties as a wingback - but he?s reported to be the quickest at the club. Given a free role with the ability of Nwakali to pick out a pass then Cotter could cause defenders all sorts of problems.

So then - the line up:
    Killip
    Roberts - Pines - Earl.
    O?Keefe - Nwakali - Russell - Gent
    Cotter - Cosgrove - Humphrys

That starting 11 would get eaten alive by any team with some quality, in my opinion.

Nwakali looked brilliant yesterday and was probably man of the match but Cambridge let him get on the ball and allowed him to dictate. Against teams that are going to press him and have better central midfielders, Nwakali wouldn?t get that time and space. We will have to see if he can repeat yesterday?s performance against better quality opposition, hopefully he can. I like Russell and he?s been fantastic for us since the last international break but a midfield of him and Nwakali would allow opposition teams to stroll through. That?s why Connell needs to play. There?s only Connell and Craig that will stick their boot in and Clarke seems to not fancy Craig at the minute.

MDG does make too many mistakes but he?s also being asked to pretty much be a ball playing defender, along with Earl. For that reason, I wouldn?t move Roberts to the right side. I also wouldn?t move him because he?s playing really well in the centre and I wouldn?t want to disrupt that.

    My team would be:

    Killip
    O?Keeffe, MDG, Roberts, Earl, Gent
    Connell, Russell
    Phillips
    Watters, Humphrys

Then we can have DKD coming off the bench for impact as, in my opinion, he?s only shown brief moments for us so far and needs some more consistency. Nwakali certainly put his case forward yesterday and I guess the argument for me would be him or Russell but it?s still Jon?s place in the team for me.

    January requirements to strengthen squad?

Firstly, I would say you can only properly assess a teams strengths & weaknesses by going to watch matches live, at least at home, watching on TV is a poor substitute. I would say a striker, centre back, right back & keeper are required. Then automatics would be well & truly on.
