    Amber weather alert for Saturday

With an amber weather alert for much of the area north of Perth on Saturday morning for heavy snow and gales, - followed by rain, - it would make sense for Queen of the South and Inverness to postpone the fixture now, - before the Inverness bus becomes trapped in the Drumochter Pass.

Will the SFA make a sensible decision?

We all know, Jardi, that the authorities have a shocking track record of putting supporter safety first so I anticipate a cold drenching at Palmerston this Saturday.

Oh, it'll be mild by 3pm, - but if the Inverness bus is stuck en-route, - there will be no opposition. When an amber weather warning is issued, - common sense should prevail, - and asking a club who are in administration to pay for an hotel in Dumfries on Friday night is quite frankly obscene. Inevitably, - they'd have to pay for another night's accommodation on Saturday too as the road back up will be impassable.

If we cant be proactive about cancelling a football match due to extreme weather, - which was first indicated last weekend, - then what chance have we got of preventing clubs from falling into dire straits and administration?

According to the BBC news, Inverness travelled down yesterday, so the game is on!
    Hats off to ICT!

I'm absolutely furious that this game has been cancelled at 12.14pm.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle, - who we must remember are in administration, travelled down yesterday and spent a night in a hotel, and have wasted all that money.

Until the powers that be become responsible for such expense, poor little clubs like ICT and QOS will be expected to cough up.

The warnings about the weather were made as long ago as last weekend, - and an amber weather warning was issued for the A9 on Thursday. Given a week of hard frosts, - it surely came as no surprise that the park at Palmerston would be frozen and the combination of melting snow and heavy rain would cause the park to be waterlogged.

Last night the met office also issued an amber warning for the M74.

Nothing will come of this, - and the clubs who have the least money will be expected to fork out without any form of recompense.

    Jardi,
The league authorities should compensate ICT for this debacle.

Completely concur Spike and everyone at Queen of the South should be behind ICT.
