In France we have PSV and it's a joy when they slip up. Our day will come and all the better for having agonised over dropping points at some windswept non-league ground.

We might be on a slippery slope, but slippery slopes can go up as well as down.

They just do it a bit quicker than unslippery slopes.

I think we started the day 4 points off automatic promotion and we finish it 5 points off but now with a game in hand on those in 2nd and 3rd.

Only a game in hand on 4 of the 8 teams above us though. 5 points from the last 5 games and 3 wins in the last 12 isn't really the form to get promotion though.

It all feels worryingly familiar to last season, it was at this point where it became clear things were going wrong. Being 9th in this awful league is NOT sufficient for Notts County Football Club.
