I recall Conway trying to make a joke of the said players hasty exit in an interview.

Let's face it though, had we signed him, we'd have let him go forra couple o million 6 months into his contract. Money money money & profit profit profit.

Viktor saw straight through Conway when all said and done. Good on him. Did his career good not signing for us.

If he had come to us there were no guarantee that he would have progressed like he did at Coventry , different players around him, different style etc etc , he may not have been anywhere near as successful in fact his career might have gone backwards , who knows , it is all guess work but good luck to the lad he has done well and obviously made the right choice at the right time , as for us , it is no good looking back and speculating of what might have happened in the past, we cannot change that , what we have to change is how we go in the here and now and stop this recruitment strategy where we continually move players on and replace with inferior quality , eventually it catches up with you !!

It has already caught up with us though hasn't it Shads. We are now looking at a top 6 finish in league 1 at best (personally i think we'll finish around 8th or 9th) and the club is losing millions of pounds each season.

Certainly all if's and but's and whether he'd have saved us from such a dreadful season is debatable .

Partnering Morris up top would have been interesting I'll say that but the whole team was way off from championship standard .

Just shows though that Brighton who are well renowned for their recruitment and the ability to spot a player dropped a real b@llak letting him go .

Arsenal were quoted ?60m to buy him from Sporting Lisbon in the last transfer window .

Yes it has certainly caught up with us especially in the last couple of seasons but both years we made the play offs ,but in my opinion if we continue with the current policy flirting with promotion will disappear and trying to avoid the drop could be the order of the day.
