Social Media NOT kind to CC - Read This

Carlos has been slaughtered by many fans on social media but this is a great post!

I?ve stayed quiet for a long time now because i didn?t want to jump to a rash conclusion after a lot of the disappointment we?ve had this season. But today?s game is enough for me.

I really struggle to see Carlos?s plan in games, the passing is slow and laboured. There?s lack of movement off the ball, and yes I know that is down to the players on the pitch, but it?s also down to the system that we?re playing and the system the players work on, day in, day out on the training pitch.

We have now dropped out of the top 6. And we don?t look like beating teams even when we go a goal in front. In fact, I prefer it when we go behind, because we actually try to score then. Instead, when we go in front, we seem to drop 20 yards, and sit and try and protect the lead we have got, instead of trying to kill the game off.

My biggest criticism is how bored I am, every single game. The style of play is just so so difficult to watch. It?s slow, it?s frustrating, and looks as though any move disintegrates as soon as we move forward from the back line.

The line-up from the start today baffled me. He returned Bartley to the line up to play alongside Holgate, when he has been out for a number of weeks due to injury and in my opinion needed bringing back in gradually. Also meaning he pushed Heggem back out to left full back, when it?s clear to see that Styles offers us more there, especially going forward, and Heggem is a natural CB not LB!

Paul Heckingbottom - Preston Manager - Today changed the system at half time, changed formation and a change of tactics, when have you ever seen Carlos do this? All he does is replace the players on the pitch with the players from the bench, to play the same way, in the same formation with no changes other than personnel. Basically hopes for the best.

I think now is time for change, and it actually pains me to say it because I love Carlos for what he has done for the club in the difficult period he managed us in, but now, it just isn?t working. And I believe we have the squad to compete in this division, but the manager and the tactics is what is holding us back.

Thank you Carlos, but it?s time to go.

Every bit of that is true, he?s took us as far a possible, credit where credit is due he performed miracles after the Bruce debacle but now the true Carlos is coming out, too rigid, no plan B, same thing game in game out, boring anti football, we have some decent players at West Brom, all hampered by over cautious tactics, what did it for me today was taking off Maja, if Maja was injured or knackered fair play, but to replace him with ?love child? Wallace was a disgrace when Cole was sat on the bench, yes Cole may not be a Bob Taylor but he?s better than Wallace
    Thanks Carlos, time to quit

    In a nutshell for me.
Robins or Cooper maybe. Neither has the credentials to be targeted by a PL club. So their best bet would be an upper Championship club

Or possibly there's a coach at a PL club (a Mckenna type) who could come in and move us forwards from where we are.

My question to all 3 of you is do you think this squad is good enough to change the way we play? do we have the mobility to play a high pressing game? do the players have the technical ability to be able to play the Tony Mowbray/Ossie Ardiles style of football? Blues thought that last season and look where that ended, i totally get that people aren't happy but IMO making the change now would be a mistake we don't have any money or wage space due to PSR to make changes in January so why would we take the risk of losing the stability Corberan gives us, the championship and league one is littered with clubs that sacked managers because they thought they could do better.

    I would stick with him.
We have got to look after the likes of Maja and Fellows , in the past we have lost players for months for pushing them .

You acknowledge people aren?t happy and they certainly aren?t. Look at the hundreds of comments on social media and the boos are starting to get louder at the matches. I honestly don?t expect promotion or anything great but I do expect occasionally to be excited at the odd game. I have actually stopped going as the football bores me. That post at the top does sum up the majority feeling. No wonder players are losing confidence - how must Styles feel when he was playing so well? Johnston does not turn into a bad player overnight so he needs a run of games and not in and out all the time. To be replaced by Dobbin the horse FFS. What has Dobbin done to merit a starting job place? How must Maja feel ( or Cole a natural striker ) feel to be replaced by Wallace a cart horse?

The football is boring and there?s no intent to win a game.

The tide is turning against Carlos whether some like to hear it or not. People are bored with the style of football. Personally - I would rather gamble and get someone else in.

Question - if Mowbray came in do you think the football would be as boring, on the back foot, and setting up not to lose? I don?t!

You might not be wrong there Bomber. There?s a lot of social media posts with hundreds of comments and most are very anti Corberon. The tide is turning because people are bored with the selections, subs and style of play.

Lose to Sheffield the boos will start getting louder! For me I would take losing more if it was the intent to win the odd game with some excitement. I have always gone to Sunderland and Preston but chose not to because of the boring football. What a good decision!

I just don't think this squad of players are good enough, Johnstone has been poor when selected, Wallace. Dianganna and Swift the 3 highest paid players all very poor, Dobbin i agree is poor, Corberan clearly didn't want Cole, we haven't seen enough of Frabotta or Diakite but i wasn't that impressed with either of them, in order to move forward as a club after 8 years on neglect we need stability not hoping a change of manager will give us a quick thrill and and we might see better football and worse results.

I think we did well to manage the playoffs last season and with the start of the season we have had we were expecting the playoffs or more. Although always live in hope, if we end up in mid table and build for next season then I can cope with that.
The owner has been quiet for a while and we only hear carlos pre and post match so if can continue on like this then perhaps January may bring some joy or just see the season through and start again next season with whoever the owner wishes at the helm.
I find most of modern football boring, not just Albion. Norwich game was a great game I thought.
