Always been positive about this one but after my recent unfounded optimism I’ll go 1-1 and be cautiously hopeful of something better. We need it.

Unfortunately he has something in abundance that we lack...... class and a footballing brain!

For me that was the difference. They had a leader and we’ve never addressed that.
With the two matches we’ve got coming up the table no longer makes comfortable reading.
I’m thinking the January window looks increasingly important with a goal scorer and a ‘midfield general’ at the top of the list. Won’t be easy.

Very unlucky to lose that, again the woodwork and their keeper making very good saves! I do think this "leader" is a red herring, the team played well, just didn't get the breaks. Sometimes football is like that, two games we could and probably should have had maximum points from. Such is life, its not unexpected to get a run of poor results, the law of averages suggests the luck we had in wins against Boro for instance balances itself out with the fine margins of defeat in the last two games.

Whilst it would be nice to think we could pick up a couple of useful transfers in Jan, I'm not banking on it and if we don't I still think we will be fine. We will play a lot worse than that and win in future games. Be just like us to pick up 6 pts against Leeds and Burnley, though suspect it will be 3 or 4.
