Wilson . . . Here we go again

**** me the bloke is made of glass.

He's out for another 2 months with a hamstring injury.

At this point, I'd just let him walk for free in the summer - don't renew his contract to try and sell, just let him go and save on wages.

When Mitchell said our transfer policy isn't fit for purpose, he was talking about outgoings too, I reckon.

With his injury record, there's no way we should have gambled on him playing enough games to provide adequate cover.

Poor bloke, he must have been as pissed as anyone.
Sadly that means his career in any competitive league is over.
But maybe some KSA club would be interested in january?

    Tbf, it's not his fault.

If we have to be pissed off with anytone, you could argue-much as I don't like to say it-that Eddie's loyalty to a player we rreally should have sold in the Summer has led to this situation (i.e. one fit starting striker).

He lets his heart rule his head-Dummett and Ritchie being prime examples (you could probably add Miggy to that list, too)-and either plays or retains players who shouldn't really be in the team/squad.

Yeah Eddie wanted to keep him around but didn't Wilson get a 1 year extension in that period where he and Isak were playing together regularly in the 22/23 season on route to the 4th place finish.

A contract is a contact. The Geezer has been injured during the transfer windows since then, almost orchestrated injuries.

I understand the Dummett side of things. Eddie was new to the club and needed to maintain the 'Geordie core'. However, didn't keep him beyond the end of his contract and no discussion of extension.

Miggy - Just doesn't give the manager that level of consistency that he should for the loyalty shown. He should be out the door in Jan.

    We live in hope!

Also, Wilson could see his contact released in Jan to make a free agent and get him off the books. It has to be mutual though so if Wilson accepts the his situation and Eddie is pragmatic that is a possibility.

    Let's see
