A great result? Not been following as en route to the beach.
Thoughts?
A good point. Looked more like a team last 2 games.
Well, a 0-0 draw against ten men turns out to be the best game of the season! At least, that is the most engaged I?ve felt with any match this season, shouting for every decision and kicking imaginary balls like the old days. More of this please Steve and I?ll lay off. Most frustrated of all when Bramall carried the ball all the way up the pitch and passed it directly and accurately towards an unmarked Wilks, only for him to stand like a statue and let the defender in! GRRRR FFS! Feel like I?ve actually watched a match after that one though.
A very good battling performance. Deserved a point but equally disappointing we didn't win all 3. Actually felt the old excitement towards the end of the game. Well done ref by sending off the Town player after a shocker of a tackle on Humphreys. Relieved he got up and continued.
Small steps. A late penalty that should have been given against Wigan would have made it a good holiday period.
Phillips again impressive, defence threw themselves at everything. Mid-field battled away. If only we could rely on the forwards.
Nine points with goal difference above relegation. Hopefully we'll start looking up the table instead of down.
That was a much better performance, we look so much better without JCH up front, the front two aren't perfect but they put in a shift and Wilks should have done better with his 2nd half chance. Humphries is so calm and looks a class act in midfield, but Powell and McWilliams were very good as well. We looked a lot weaker with the subs on, Bramall ok going forward but he didn't give James much cover. JCH was what he always is and Green didn't have the time to get up to the pace.
The defence looks solid, these two are making quite a pairing, get Odoffin extended and make him captain full time. Ok they were down to 10 men for 10 minutes, I think that helped us as we have had an extra game and we looked a little slower to the ball near the end.
I think if we play with that passion, desire and team effort going forward then you have to be happier, something seems to have changed mentally with the squad. Well done to Evans for getting some of that spirit back in the players, it is now down to TS and his munchkins to get some players through the door and give Evans and us a full squad.
Very solid performance and should have won. Very impressed with the centre halves and midfield. There is some talent there and energy.
The front line is hard working but lacks the guile and finishing capabilities we need. The points were there for the taking today but Wilkes and Nombe are just not up to it.
Very rare as I am on here according to our moderator Brin, but methinks was a solid valuable point and more so performance. Onwards and upwards for the Millers.
A great point. We looked transformed with Humphrey in midfield.; whether the improvement is down to that I can't say.
Oddofin very impressive again, in a strong overall defensive performance. Lots to like about the team performance as a whole, although Wilkes might attract some criticism for his usual failings. Putting his chance away would have made some amends.
McWilliams, Powell and MacDonald all made significant contributions, as did Bramhall in a cameo performance.
Just listening to a miserable Millers fan (Grist?) grumbling about today's performance on Praise or Grumble. God knows what Kieran thought about the previous 4 months!
Only stream games on sky sports + so just looking at changes today should have been braver & McGuckin for Mcdonald at least wide right it's more his natural position. Good point though would have took that before the game.
