I saw Sam and Dave on one of the Stax tours. I was not aware then that they had fallen out and barely spoke yet still performed together. They stood at the far ends of the stage to each other and never moved from their respective spots. Even then I thought it seemed a little odd.

Soul Man with that iconic Steve Cropper guitar has always been one of favourites whether by S&D or with Lou Reed.
