    Fun (a) 2nd of Jan

If it goes ahead pending weather

They have a good attack and outwith County game have been winning and scoring at home, that was a good victory in Paisley despite injuries and will see them buzzing for this one

I don't buy into the then being weak and depleted as they have a bigger squad than Utd and we've had to go a couple months with 5 starters and coped

It is their cup final, they don't have games like we had yesterday that are as big as a derby to think about, this is the game for them, hopefully our players can refocus from the highs of last night quickly

Can't really call it other than would be surprised if both teams don't score

I would start the same team as against Aberdeen unless Babunski or Strain are injured then its Doc and Kai in.

Really cannot call this one again!

Anything can happen, although think Goodwin will make at least one change

Also reckon there will be long queues as we all get inspected for pyrotechnics

Can?t call it either, and just hoping for a five star performance and result, there will be quite a few in our team who have yet to experience the shambles that is dens ⚽️🧡

Staying on my theme of Funsters lacking knowledge of the beautiful game i give you Mr Sensible's assessment of the Derby.

"They will play the exact same way they played against Aberdeen sitting in and hit on the break."

What an absolute load O shyte we were on the front foot from kick off and near the end it was relentless pressure with The Sheep hitting us on the break!!!.Needless to say not one fellow Funster picked him up on his assertions. As i previously said they know SFA about the game but are experts on football finance and counting empty tangerine and black seats,FACT.

He's anything but sensible, he thinks because under the TA regime when we gave an inaccurate figure for the 2-2 derby in Apr 2022 (was given as 10k when clearly around 13k were in the ground) that means we are over-estimating our crowds now when the opposite was the case as we've not had less than 10k home fans at a Tannadice derby for many years (dodgy from the ta regime or a genuine error only counting home fans?)

And what you highlight is just another example that he must be going for an ironic username

We may deploy those tactics on Thursday though, whatever works for us on the day

No way would I start Babunski, was a liability yesterday, he looked like he had a groin injury too

Docherty in from the start beside Luca and Vicko, even Odada would be better option just now

If football teaches you anything it's never underestimate a derby opponent. Never.
Injuries or not they will field a starting 11 that busts every sinew to beat us.

We need to be focused on the task, match them from the start in every area. If we do that, our quality should tell over 90+ minutes.

    Docherty surely must start this.

How have you come to the conclusion that he was playing with a groin issue? I saw his slide across the turf early doors and loose his footing a few times so concluded his choice of footwear was poor. But thinking he had a groin issue requires a whole new level of knowledge that leaves me to think you are havering!

Odada as a better option? Jesus wept! Were you at St Johnstone at the weekend! Poor laddie will end up missing somewhere out of position in midfield wi his head spinning!

I think I saw in the text commentary after the sub was made that Babunski might have been carrying a groin injury.
