    Jordan Hughil

Is he as bad as we make out?

I took a look at his stats
QPR. 19/20 season. In his prime with a mid table championship club who finished 13th he scored 13 in 39 appearances

First season with us he scored 5 in 18 games. A relegation battle season that saw Ogbene net 9 in 32 games and Conor Washington only 6 in 30

Season before joining us he scored 4 for Preston in 18 appearances. So in some ways he had a good start with us and definitely attributed to us staying up

Last season was a disaster all round
5 goals in 43 games. Eaves was top scorer with 6
Fans turned in him, his looking for a foul antics wound people up but he stared and still gets a load of stick.

This season 1 league goal in 480 minutes playing.
Scored 4 in the EFL trophy so 5 goals in 900 minutes
JCH 7, Nombie 6, Wilks 5 but they have played double the minutes he has.
He usually only gets 10 - 15 minutes a game.
He does look like he isn't interested but having dropped down the pecking order and the amount of abuse he gets from us it is any wonder?

He's more than capable, he scored some beauties for us and check out his goals for QPR. If only we could give him that type of service

Some good points there but, in all seriousness he doesn't help himself with his antics and his application of late.

As they use to put on school reports....Could try harder! That glaring miss at Chesterfield said it all.

He doesn't win enough headers and isn't the quickest. But the stick he's taken has probably influenced how he is overall

In all the years watching Rotherham, do you honestly believe that you have ever seen a player miss a clear goal scoring opportunity because they didn't really "try" to score in that particular moment?

I just don't think that's how humans work.

Players will sometimes not make the effort more generally, but nobody doesn't try to score a sitter. It's more often a lack of confidence, or just plain luck.

Ah you're back, where have you been?

Did you go to Chesterfield the other night or even see the match on TV?

He is lacking confidence but it was one of those, it was harder to miss moments when he should have buried it. A golden opportunity to get fans back on his side.

When I look at hugill I see a. "Not a Rotherham type player".
Unfortunately fans want to see us develope and become a stable club but that won't happen whilst we have a kick everything above grass and a run your blood to water attitude. We like a player to get stuck in and don't have patience for the flair.

Sadly hugill doesn't fit any of these attributes

Exactly my point. Don't you think he wanted to score it!? I just don't understand your implication.

I've been many places, depends what time frame. Since summer I spent some time in the US and went to Burning Man festival in the Nevada desert. I've also been in Bali, China, Spain and London. I've only made it to 1 game this season, but I watch online when time zones and my availability allow.

There was no implication behind my statement, you're looking too deep once again. Watching on line isn't the same as being there. In attendance, you see more of the player throughout the game. Like I said, could try harder!

Do you work for MI6? Sorry, I forgot you can't answer that. Sounds like you've been busy.

I?ve always thought that he could be capable of doing a job for us. The thing that made me think again about him was Barnsley away.

After all the moaning that he is always on the floor (which he is probably aware of), he did the most blatant dive, like he had been shot, in the middle of the pitch and everyone could see it wasn?t a foul including the ref.

This must sum up his attitude of late. I won?t give him stick and won?t boo any of our players but I?m losing patience with him.
