Thread: Cole

    Cole

To be fair to the lad he hasn?t been given much of a chance, if Brunt and the analyst pick the old favourite in Wallace before him against Stoke then he certainly should be looking to go elsewhere, start Cole especially at home, let?s see if he?s any good, nothing to lose, must be better than Wallace surely

Take your point but when he has come on he has looked pretty lack lustre. If it was me I would play Johnstone and Fellows out wide, Grant down the middle and Swift in the number ten spot. I realise that Swift has not been at his best but he does have the ability in him.

Get your thoughts Bomber but he?s had lots of chances albeit coming on as a sub. Don?t rate him as his speed of thought is too slow. Put Grant down the middle and get someone in.

Dike should be back by the new season 😂

Diakite looked poor to begin with but came good, Cole, though, doesn’t have a footballer in him, in my opinion; he is a waste of space, far better to give one of the lads, such as Bostock, a go. I will be amazed if Dike makes it back, two serious Achilles injuries, no chance.

Totally agree (Bostock). In my view there is absolutely nothing to lose by giving youngsters a chance. If they are good enough they are old enough.

Saw Bostock at Harrogate in the youth cup and he was superb. Shame on Brunty for not giving him an opportunity off the bench b Preston 3-0 and Bournemouth 4-1. Why the hell bring on Cole and Wallace? We had zero to lose.

It?s because of not putting senior players noses out of joint and for this reason Abella and Brunty need to go - same thought process of Carlos.

Surprised at Brunty to be honest as thought he would try and mark his own mark!

Ollie Bostock is 18 next month. No way can he still be considered a kid. Think of the players younger than him who have played first team football here and elsewhere. I have read his bio on line and it sounds impressive. Please give him a chance.

You do not have to necessarily start with the youngsters but, as has already been stated, when winning 3-0 or losing 1-4 it is the ideal time to see what they can do. Look how Fellows turned out. We have enough experience in the side to be able to integrate them. We will not know what they can do at senior level if we do not give them the chance. To be honest, I do not know much about these youngsters as I have not seen them perform.

Good post. I personally saw Bostock in the Youth Cup and he was good. Would it have been a problem with those score lines if he had come on and flopped? What did Wallace and Cole do?

I didn?t rate CC with the use of youngsters and Fellows only got in by default because of injuries and played brilliant. So brilliant CC tried to accommodate super Jed in every position thereafter apart from goalie.

Shocking how Caleb went on loan and we had two clowns called Semi and Holgate.
