    Reflecting on last night

I have to start by saying I think that may have been one of the worst performances from a referee I?ve seen in a long time. Neither of them were penalties. I genuinely got the impression he was determined to cause some controversy and I had the feeling he was playing up for the sky cameras trying to be the star of the show. Full credit to young Jimmy Trafford, who was without a doubt the hero of the hour. I?m absolutely made up for the lad. The two saves made it feel like a victory in the end. On the positive side of things, I do get the feeling the team do seem to have a togetherness and do work hard enough. Parker in fairness to him has put together a decent group of professionals. Having said that, it?s yet another home game with no goals.. and that has got to be a major concern. The stats don?t lie, it doesn?t take a genius to see where we are weak. I can?t help but think it?s common sense that we will fall into the playoffs without signing a couple of forwards in the transfer window

I've said it before but we are better away from home and Cardy needs to address this or we can forget automatic promotion.

I reckon we have to beat Dirty Weeds and the Blades at home now to shift the balance in our favour. Easier said than done.

We play 90%of our football in our own third of the field Cornerholme

Id rather have lost 3-2 and actually been in a game

Parker can dress it up however he wants but on show for all to see was the 2nd placed team in the league at home who generated / produced very little and imo anyway showed no ambition to win the game.

No one on here seems over concerned that we were absolutely clueless with no intent to win the game.

Don’t know about. You but I’d looked forward to the game and fully expected us to let’s say compete in a top of the table clash - instead we just played negative football and let’s be honest offered nothing much really.

I am with you 100% Army.It is negative football at its finest-trying desperately not to lose games instead of trying to win them.It has been like this since the beginning of September and I can remember the criticism I got from some on here by calling it out at the time.
Cardy`s record in the Championship was from two teams that did not have a fire sale after relegation and kept their goalscorers. We scored nine goals in two games and since the fire sale we have averaged less than one a game and shots on target is even worse. We have not scored a single goal from set pieces in 27 outings.
Football is supposed to be about entertaining and like you I would rather lose 3-2 than watch this dross week in week out.Cardy and the players think everything is hunky dory and look for the positives this time by lauding Trafford who up to the two penalties had another clanger waiting to happen game. The defence is exceptional and it has to be recognised but for me the VK way of simply scoring more than the opposition is essence of the beautiful game.
In my humble opinion it will be Weeds and the Blades for automatic promotion and the Mackems via the play-offs.

This season has a lot of twists and turns left to run yet.

The fat lady isn't even clearing her throat yet, perhaps a Flemming/Foster Combo might just do the trick?

I would prefer a mix grille myself, than a Flemming/Foster combo

Anthony on one wing , Sarmiento on the other with 2 fullbacks bombing on - who knows we might start scoring goals.

We won't start scoring goals if we won't put the ball into the penalty area or thereabouts. I agree CC we do seem to have a good team spirit and credit to SP for that but knocking the ball around midfield is not football and is awful to watch as many have pointed out. I think many are concerned Army because we haven't seen anything changing in a significant way.
Well things are changing here in Minnesota ,-25C this morning, time to get your ice fishing gear out, plant your shed on your favourite spot,
drill a hole in the ice and drop your line. Don't forget your beer and portable TV. Sometimes ladies of the night will come around and offer to warm you for a small fee. It takes all sorts to make a world as they say.
