Anybody else here present in Nov. 63 when goals from Jeff Astle and Bobby Tait were enough to overcome Frickley Colliery,as they were known then,in the Cup 1 st round ?
A late Terry Bly leveller at Belle Vue saw over 10 and a half thousand witness a last minute winner for Donny in the replay.
A remarkable attendance for a midweek game, considering how poor we were at the time.

Yes I was there at the Frickley cup tie, as an 8 year old with my dad & older brother. By 'eck we've struggled over the years against non league opponents!

Yes I remember that FA Cup tie, I was there , with my dad and the tie was played on a dark, dismal Saturday.
    Still got the matchday programme.
Frickley put in a shift and Notts had to toil very hard for the spoils. Another nail biter against non league opponents !
