Roma Red Match Thoughts: Wycombe Wanderers-v-Barnsley

Hats off to the three or four hundred Barnsley fans making the Tuesday night journey to High Wycombe.

Given our away record it is more likely we will win this game than if it were being played at Oakwell.

    I'm going for a low scoring game--- 0-0, 1-0, 1-1, 0-1.

Let's hope the game is end to end and overflowing with chances and excitement to reward the brave souls who attend.

If the score is 0-0 near the final whistle Cosgrove should run towards their keeper if he is standing with the ball in his hands and see what develops.

With Barnsley on 42 pts there are some interesting games tonight and a defeat or even a draw for the Reds could see them being overtaken by any of---

    Bolton 41pts -v-Northampton

Burton-v-Reading 41 pts and game in hand

Charlton 40pts and game in hand-v-Bristol Rovers

    Exeter-v-Orient 41pts and a game in hand.

Best case scenario---Barnsley stay 6th or rise to 5th above Stockport (home to Shrewsbury)
Worst case scenario--Barnsley drop to 10th

Wycombe seem to be having a bit of a home wobble! Including tonight they will have played 6 of the last 7 games at home! 2 wins (1 in fa cup) 2 draws and 1 loss with us to play tonight. A narrow win over out of form Exeter and drawing against Northampton on Saturday tells me they are starting to feel a bit of pressure? In fact the Exeter game is the only win in the last 8 home games for them in all competitions! If we turn our away form back on tonight I think we will win, plus we have only lost 1 there in the last 6 games!

Farrugia is injured, Nwakali and Connell can't play in same team for me.

They can't mate but play Nwakali, Connell has been poor most games! At least he's put Mccarthy back on the bench which is a plus.

Away game so I?m feeling fairly confident. Could?ve done with Kone not playing for them due to transfers interest from Luton but oh well.

I believe the ref tonight is the same one that reffed us against them when Cosgrove scored ?that goal?. Let?s hope he gives a helping hand again. A pen would be nice.
