Stop moaning.
A little moan after yet another goal less draw at Turf Moor.
It is hard to argue that Burnley defensively are rock solid, Maxime Esteve and CJ Egan Riley are a fabulous centre-back pairing and James Trafford constantly reminds us just how good he will eventually be.
Scott Parker has built a team that is defensively nothing short of extraordinary providing the Clarets with a platform to build towards an immediate return to the EPL at the first time of asking.
Of growing concern however is the continuing lack of points not being harvested at Turf Moor. My biggest niggle is Parker?s constant application of playing square pegs in round holes; Zion Flemming for all of his effort and application is not a centre-forward in the traditional sense.
Lyle Foster is not and never will be a left winger; we have a seemingly out of favour natural winger in Luca Koleosho who is not even getting a game.
Another point is that the Clarets record at attacking set pieces is beyond woeful, surely coaching sessions at Barnfield could inspire us to nick the odd decisive goal at set plays? It?s a distant memory when John O?Shea (now at Ipswich Town) scored from a corner with a header at Luton Town in the 4-1 thrashing of the Hatters.
Parker also has the particularly rueful habit of refusing to use the bench. Lamentably late and ineffective substitutions are Parker?s norm. Eight goalless home draws are simply not the stuff of automatic promotion.
So come on Scotty Parker sort out scoring goals from set pieces and give the substitutes the chance to impact on a game.
And not inserting square pegs in to round holes might be a good way to start.

I thought BT was going to talk about his *** life from the thread title, ah well.
On the face of it a draw against Leeds isn’t a bad result, before a ball was kicked I think most would have said it would be a decent outcome. But for all the positives, the great defensive record, the fact we're 3rd in the league. I do wonder how long the fans will put up with all the 0-0 draws at home?
People are paying good money to watch what is supposed to provide at least some entertainment value. But despite the league position, whichever way you slice it it’s horrible to watch.
I do also agree with BT on the point he makes on Square pegs round holes. As well as the system/formation we use generally.
I don't know if anyone else noticed, but against Leeds we seemed to be playing a very weird 6-4 formation with NO MIDFIELD. Particularly when we had the ball, there was this massive space between our 18 yard box and there's with no Burnley player in between. It just looked like our only plan was to hit it long to the wide men, completely bypassing midfield.
I don’t understand Carey’s thinking ar times.
Leeds played an aggressive high press that we struggled with, trying play ? tiki taka ? football.
Pep’s solution v Chelsea was to go long from Emerson to Haarland. Did it twice and two goals.
Why didn’t Cardy put on either Barnes or Rodriguez who can be a target and link up play? Fleming could have fed off either of them. That would have nullified the high press and force Leeds back a little.
Although Trafford did go long from time to time, I think the Leeds defence won every header/ ball. Flemming is not Ashley Barnes, who always troubles centre backs.
Matches at Turf Moor have been dominated by teams making it difficult for us to break down, getting 9 or 10 behind the ball, whilst we laboriously play passes in our own half. The way to beat that has to be, surely, having a proper target man and getting the ball forward with runners playing off him. It may be old fashioned but it is and always will be effective.
I'd stick Koleosho as my centre forward, you can't defend against pace!![]()
I agree SB and I think I made that suggestion a long time ago.
