On This Day..
..10 years ago, magnificent United sheared the Sheep at Hampden (or if it?s Mason it was all Delboy?s fault
) with goals from Calum Morris and the Mad Turk. The world was our oyster as we reached a winnable League Cup final against a Celtic team we had beaten just 4 weeks previous, we were only about 3 points off the top of the league with European Football (and tantalisingly maybe even more?????) on the horizon, we were playing brilliant football with the defensive issues from the previous season solved with Fojut and Morris and all in the garden was very, very rosy.
48 hours later Stephen Thompson signs off on the shortest suicide note in Scottish Football history.

It was a great day shedka make no mistake, but what made it better was the promise of more to come - walking out of Hampden that day I (and many others) felt we were on the cusp of something magical.
