Pre Huddersfield press interview - Darrell Clarke

latest pre match interview with Darrell Clarke.
He has just signed his own death warrant.

    He says:
    1) Plays his own formation and style.
    2) Argues case for clubs with bigger budgets.
    3) Says only part of the squad is capable of top 6.

All the above are against the Barnsley Game Model and philosophy.

If James, Sormaz or Neerav hear this interview then DC will be gone sooner rather than later.

The club told us at last Novembers Supporters Trust Meeting that Collins was sacked because he strayed away from his remit.
DC has just admitted doing the same - and doesn?t buy into how Barnsley do things.

For me I think it is a credit to Clarke that he says it has he sees it and not follow the company line , you do not have to be mystic meg to see what the actors who run our club will have in mind , as pressure builds on the owners builds and season ticket sales come in to play they will sack Clarke and set on a crowd appealing replacement ,simply to deflect from their failures and the whole rinse and repeat failed formula will begin again and once again the gullible will buy it , well my opinion is that they should buck the trend and admit that they have failed Clarke with their backing and stand by him , give him the support and backing in the summer and let him do his job , they have to stop this revolving door approach but with this lot I doubt that will happen, they simply do not have a clue .

    Two things Shads:
Yes I agree they haven?t given him the tools to finish the job - especially strikers.
But - most of us saw the HC job description - and DC will have agreed to that before he signed it.
He can?t then decide to go off on a tangent.

I know we disagree about Collins - but when he introduced his own style the writing was on the wall.
    Same applies to DC.
I honestly can?t see DC being at the club beyond March.

It was reinforced at the last Supporters Trust Meeting that the club is sticking by their Game Model.
It can be tweaked but not disregarded.
I haven?t heard anything contrary from the club to say they have changed direction.

If we lose tomorrow DC will be gone! Hourihane will be put in temporary charge, cheap option and to appease fans in the hope of the new appointment bounce ready for season ticket sales!
I feel sad for DC atm yes his tactics are suspect at times but yet again the board have not backed a coach sufficiently.
I also feel sad for the new USA recruit who is joining when there is a toxic feeling around the club!

You are spot on about the board not offering sufficient backing and unless things change in the board room Houihane or whoever follows the latest scapegoat will have more of the same, it is called "no chance " , I do disagree with you about the lad from USA , I do not feel sad for him, he has virtually just landed a 10 week payed holiday in which he has the opportunity to showcase his talent , if it doesn"t work out then so what , he can go home after a nice break and change of scenery , I also believe the dressing room is quite strong so I do not think toxic comes in to it apart from the fan base of which no one will blame him for the current situation.

I meant "Toxic" in regard to the fan base shads! No atmosphere, booing and a possible demonstration today?
Personally I don't think the dressing room is that strong either given the performances by some? Are they really fighting for DC?

If it happens with Clarke, I do actually hope Conor tells them to shove it, and refuse!.
Also think of what it will do to his reputation here, if it doesn't work out. Some of our "fans" will go off him pretty quickly, and demand he gets sacked.
    We've seen it all before.
