Bumble is no longer a Carlisle United fan

Posted on the buzz: "If it's Hughes I'm finished and the Trust should be ashamed. "Oh aren't we wonderful, stopping Slade from being manager" but we are quite happy letting Hughes in. Totally shocking."
Amazing what some people think the trust is for and can do because they are not able to veto manager appointments and quite right to. Such a weird thing to stop being a fan after so many years hughes would not be my first choice but at least give him a chance who knows he might even be the man to keep us up

Don't think he was any fans first choice but willing to give him a chance.

She has been a fan for many many years and concerned about the situation.

Apparently in last nights ?Hippocrates? meeting they said they vetoed Slade and went all giddy because of it, that?s where the comment has come from spud.

Yes i know and the photographer for many years also. Any slade veto wouldve been when the trust had a bigger % with different owners and a different agreement. But of all the reasons to give up on your club of many years the fact an organisation which cant give a veto didnt give a veto on a manager that might actually be an OK appointment just doesnt make sense

I?m sure Bumble will be a Carlisle supporter until the sad day she departs, which is hopefully many many years yet.

Bumble is a big girl and can comment herself but as you posted a thread I?ll give my opinion.

I can?t remember if Bumble was working at the Bradford game but remember hughes tried to throttle Skelton, he also belittled the club so if the trust vetoed Slade, who I think would have done a good job, then why not someone who has done that.

Anyway we have to hope it?s a good appointment and he keeps us up as relegation doesn?t bare thinking about.

Hiya all, I haven't been on here for a while ( busy time) so have only just seen this.

As Mullen says I will always be a Carlisle fan and have already been to Carlisle games. More rational thought told me the appointment of Mark Hughs was not going to stop me from watching my football team.

My anger and shock at the appointment was nothing to do with Gav Skelton, who is more than capable of fighting his own battles and the incident at Bradford was nothing more than a misunderstanding that was sorted at the end of the match.

My reaction re the Trust was indeed about them taking credit for blocking Russell Slade as manager some years ago. Slade wouldn't have been my first choice but he did very well at Orient and certainly no worse than some of the managers we've had over the last 20 years.
I am having great trouble getting my head around how the Trust represents the fans and I don't feel helping choose a new manager should be part of their remit.

Simply I posted in anger and although I stand by my post, I should have taken time before posting.

Ta Bumble. Spud was just a WUM who has now been removed, simply out to make trouble. Those of us who know more about you realised that it was simply a post made from the heart as a true supporter on the spur of the moment. I’ve said a few thing myself that I realised were in reactive once I’d slept on it. Quite a few last night.

The next person who laughs and says your team isn't doing very well are they and grinning, are not going to get a pleasant reply. It's just so sad.
