    Will the real Newcastle

    please stand up.

I honestly haven't got a clue who we are.

We can either be fantastic or dreadful. I don't understand why we don't have the intensity we show in some games in every game. We were way too passive today. Is it a mindset thing? A tactical thing?

From game to game, I find myself asking which NUFC will turn up.

And this isn't about losing, it's about our approach to the game, our mentality. I just don't get why our approach seems so wildly inconsistent.

    Bah.

    Soz, like.

It is a real puzzler. On our good days our best first choices , man for man, can match any club and yet we get thrashed without putting up a fight following recently losing two games at home following a record run to two teams we would have expected to get something from.

It must be all in the head(s)

People said we had trouble breaking a low block but our real achilles heal is high energy, pressing opposition (see Bmouth, Fulham and today).

We were never in it today, from the kick off, sitting back,,letting them come on to us. I assume our plan was to hit them on the break but when ever we had the ball they were round us like bees on honey. Disaster, Isak looked completely disinterested and it’s times like that when I wonder where his head is, has he already decided on a summer move, if yes, then let him go I say, but for ?150 million! None of them done their reputations any good yesterday, Miley looked good, apart from that zilch, even Hall whose been outstanding was run ragged. Yes I know this is City! Nonetheless I wasn’t expecting that, can’t wait for the summer to see what we do in the transfer market, this squad needs an injection of 6 new players, FOR THE FIRST TEAM, note to Mitchell!

Sadly age has caught up with Schar and Burn they cant play together at the back anymore the problem is Botman is our only young pacey centre back not bringing in another similar player in january will cost us the champions league.

it could cost us more than just that, our so called stars might rightly be asking about 'the project" they were sold. European football looks a long way off, cant see us beating Liverpool in the final either, they seem to think theyve accomplished everything now, judging by yesterday, well ive got news for them, they havent accomplised anything yet. That was shocking against City, just wasnt expecting it, really disappopinting, but its what this team seem to do every so often, through the season, could it be complacency, nobody challenging for their place in the team. Gonna be controversial here but,Bruno needs rested, benched, and Miley played, at least he tried. This is probably just a rant after sat and all will be well in the world soon.

Essentially following Bournemouth, Fulham and now City we clearly aren't ready for the CL challenge. No Europe either to use as an excuse.

I don't even know how you'd change the mentality issue.

Firstly is about enegry and setup.

Then its about Willock, he cant fill in for Joelinton.

Then you got Trippier, and no Botman...

All these things make us loose games.
