    Looking forward

    Contracts.

Those till 26 reads like a disaster plot.
    Jules
    Raggett
    James
    Rafferty
    McWilliams
    Kelly
Powell?with better players, i?ll forgive that one.
    Harris
    Hugebill

Many are only on till 25, and virtually all will be on the evans shuffle bus.

Can?t be argued against that the signings, method of play and manager will suddenly produce better next time.
Which really underlines the issues and outlook going forward.

Evans didn't sign all of those mentioned but Raggett Kelly JCH Dawson James have been a waste of money. If I were TS I'd be having our recruitment team in for a cosy little chat along with the manager. How much are they earning do you think?

45,700 per week if the recent post on wages is accurate.

I'm more worried that Evans is here until 2027, if we're basing the conversation purely on contract length.

Yesterday was another shining example of a manager not getting the best out his team against a very, very poor opposition, but the odd wins are keeping him here. More than half of those listed would be absolutely fine under professional management instead of the circus act. As a side note, Bristol fans were saying JCH was lethal on the end of crosses for them and they'd have him back in a heartbeat... makes you wonder if this points to the wider issue of our "C-" manager not having a clue what systems suit his players after all this time, rather than them being finished or inadequate.

I was never a PW evangelist but I'm pretty sure with this set of players he might not have us challenging the top 3 but we'd be in and around the playoff places.

I don?t think Warne would have this lot of players as he would have asked the recruitments teams thoughts and not demanded he brings in who he well wants and they have no say.

But we can afford to pay more, wages isn?t really the issue

I agree. Was just pointing out that PW (and probably many other managers) would get more out of this rag tag ensemble.

That's just the 5 players listed though Grist. The squad total (if it's to be believed) was over 115K/week. I don't think we can 'afford' that.

With any club it?s not just player wages it?s the overall wage bill that includes the behind the scenes activities

As Man Utd show by axing non- player jobs

At RUFC we pay people that never kick a ball nor have match day activities
