    Totally Rubbish

That was the 6th/7th performance on the run which was totally inept extremely lacking in ideas, attack, and cohesion. We have lost all the good football we played earlier in the season. We should not have to rely on two players, maybe three to be able to beat teams like Barrow. Yes we have had a poor run with injuries but other teams also have to contend with this issue. Tonight we looked like a team taking a stroll on a Sunday afternoon in the first half! We have nothing in terms of attacking creativity, the likes of Jatta, and the new guy looked lost. Midfield is non existent and the defense is looking frail.
What a wasted season after a decent start, don't get the injury issue, I remember watching the games in the late 70s early 80s when players played 40 games a season, with a cig and pint at half time!! Stubbs, Needham, Brindley, Masson, etc. to name just a few of very talented players. This was when tackles were hard and pitches were poor. So why the injuries so many now?.
In saying all this we are just not good enough to get promotion, or finish top seven. We have no consistency, no drive to kill a team of when in control, and without his back up (coaches left) no manager that can influence a game. Extremely disappointing season, and think the attendances will now drop back to the usual 5000 next season, unless the the Brothers act to try and rescue the chances of promotion which are now very slim.

Can't really argue with any points from this excellent post. I think nowadays players over train and we are so obsessed with the stats that by the time match comes many are just knackered. Bros model needs some tweaking if we are to get out of this awful division and the drudgery of the " entertainment " we are served up.

Tonight reminded me of pre Reedtz pre Williams Notts with a smallish crowd, sh!t atmosphere, substandard players, and no real pattern or cohesion to the play.

We rightfully sold a talented but unhappy player but have bought nothing in to replace him. Weve lost our first team coaches but not replaced them either. Weve been over reliant on a very small number of players all season and their replacements have never looked like doing the job, and the head coach has never looked like he knows what to do without them.

I sort of feel tonight like our best outcome for the season would be to miss out on the playoffs because that seems to me to be the only way we will lose the head coach and make a fresh start. Maynard used to have this mate called Dean Brennan, he looks like he might be worth a look.

Ardleyball. Possession for possession's sake, no creativity, no spark, no desire, no passion, just look for the safe option. The attendance told a story tonight - people won't keep paying out for such a boring and sterile style of play.

A huge concern for me is how we've reached the back end of the season and we're still getting done at home by anyone who sits deep, works hard off the ball and patiently waits for a chance. Virtually every visiting team does this so why are we not changing our slow and predictable game plan? It's clear the key is to get an early goal as then their approach has to change, but we start games so devoid of energy and pace.

Yeah people say weve won new fans cos they cant get in at Forest, well some are obviously just staying at home now and I cant say I blame them given the entertainment at home this season.

Dread to think how many season ticket holders we will lose if there arent some big changes.

Surely now the bros are taking note! If the boring turgid footy doesn't concern them, the decline in gates surely must !

The atmosphere is so flat at the moment - both on the pitch and in the stands. Let’s hope we raise our game away against Wimbledon and Grimsby, because the home performances are sorely lacking; shades of the second half of last season again.

The brothers have said many times that they don't just look at results and league position, which can sometimes be false, but performance statistics. On that basis, they can't have been happy with what they've seen for quite a few weeks now.
