Tonight we looked like a team taking a stroll on a Sunday afternoon in the first half! We have nothing in terms of attacking creativity, the likes of Jatta, and the new guy looked lost. Midfield is non existent and the defense is looking frail.
What a wasted season after a decent start, don't get the injury issue, I remember watching the games in the late 70s early 80s when players played 40 games a season, with a cig and pint at half time!! Stubbs, Needham, Brindley, Masson, etc. to name just a few of very talented players. This was when tackles were hard and pitches were poor. So why the injuries so many now?.
In saying all this we are just not good enough to get promotion, or finish top seven. We have no consistency, no drive to kill a team of when in control, and without his back up (coaches left) no manager that can influence a game. Extremely disappointing season, and think the attendances will now drop back to the usual 5000 next season, unless the the Brothers act to try and rescue the chances of promotion which are now very slim.
