Come on Norfolk you really didn?t think we were gonna escape this international break without any injuries did you?

Nailed on mate nailed on just like Sly sports and the EFL shafting us with the change of kick off times in the hope it derails us even further.

Cnuts and they know they are.

Tennis pros up in arms too about their season schedules & they want one that not only is shorter & makes sense but allows for meaningful rest & recovery for the players.
So a better voice & representation means they dont have to resort to such extremes.

Yes their season maybe to long & deserves a more compelling year-long narrative, ideally just one overriding power should be calling the shots too.
There is also a proposal for a Premium Tennis Tour which could split players allegiance as happened to pro golf & boxing.

As ever sponsor money dictates, likewise footballs Super League shenanigans.

    Mmm, as for Gnonto. ?
    27.03.2024 to 05.04.2024 Calf & Ankle Injury.

    29.09.2023 to 20.10.2023 Ankle Injury.

    30.03.2023 to 03.04.2023 Ankle Injury.

To be fair, players injuries often comes from functional imbalances in their gait pattern or a previous injury that has not been properly rehabbed & has subsequently adopted poor biomechanics as a result of compensation.

Most of the time players dont get new injuries every time. Its a lot of re-exacerbation of previous trauma.
For instance players (Byram) that have hamstring problems tend to have quadricep imbalances & weaknesses in the hip stabilizers caused by over recruitment of their tensor fasciae latae (TFL) which is a muscle on the outside of the hip that helps stabilize the knee & hip.
Its an important muscle for walking, running, jumping & twisting & crucial for goalkeepers of all standards to keep warm & well maintained as if not it can hamper & weaken the gluteus medius.
Been reading quite alot on movement & natural gait combined with muscular physique for matters concerning myself - so its a concept that does need addressing regarding minutes played, for sure, specially what the players do within those minutes too - Bamford for one is a prime example of what happens to ones body over a season & hes played quite a few seasons with ongoing issues at quite a few clubs too.

If you look at the players that have had a long & illustrious career free of injury, they often dont do a whole lot of strength training but they do stabilizer training & proprioceptive training consisting of lots of stretching & meticulous footwork striding contact to combat risk of losing footing on the turf.
If you get a chance have a gander of the drills the players do at TA & you will see the point I am making. 👍

    Hey ho.

Physics & biology are closely linked fields that inform each other & help us understand how living systems work which I did at school as a kid, NW.

Have been doing a Open University Psychology degree course as I wanted to help folks suffering from the illness that I was diagnosed with in my late 20s & to help them understand how to live with it & pursue a better life.

Along my illness journey I took alternative opinions from eminent Psychologists as all my prescribed medications had adverse effects on my health.
Through various re-hab stays helping me getting off my prescribed meds addiction I met various folks from all walks of life including footballers with mental health issues, so I learnt about the many issues they struggled with in life & became close to one known ex-player with mental health issues which I have mentioned on here in the past. That is why I often mention my dislike of online abuse cos of its effects on players often struggling with personal issues - constructive criticism ok but not abuse, imo.

I made the decision to quit UK & move to France as my family lived there with my French younger brother & sister. I work in a hotel now with colleagues from all over the world so football is a great conversation topic starter & fun too.
My younger 'bro is a keeper learning his trade still so I know what goes on behind his development & I know most of his team mates too, so get a pretty balanced view point on matters football.

When living in York England before becoming ill I worked in the local college careers dept helping kids with their career choices. Some kids where youth footballers let go by pro clubs & totally devastated not knowing what to do next. York college had pioneered a successful scheme into helping them & had working partnerships with most FA clubs for offering advice, learning new career skills via retraining placements & even opportunities to resurrect their footballing careers via playing in Scandanavian pro football which we had link ups with.

Sam Byram, likewise Charlie Cresswell, were from York as were many young players at Leeds back then & even now.
Byram often goes back to York college today offering his experienced advice to kids in group sessions which I get to hear about from my old work colleagues.

So yeah, being bought up in a Leeds Utd supporter family with a Mum being a language translator which can involve footballer matters, then thats the 'gist' to answering you NW hopefully. 👍

On international topic people say our 24 year olds are kids and meslier at 25 is still a kid.
Greece keeper 21 year old and the rest of the team under 24 managed by a 70 year old.
Just saying maybe we can go back and say our 18 year olds are kids.

We have a big enough squad and u21 squad to cope. Just need to grind out results.

The Blades apparently haven?t beaten a top 6 side all season bar Sunderland and they have to play Cov and Burnley.

Doesn't mean much we beat all the top teams twice last season basically and look where we are.
On Greece the manager got rid all of the experienced veterans and replaced them with youth 8 of them 19 or younger. He went with the in form ones and they look amazing. What's amazing is they have so much ability but teams prefer to spent millions on so called top players when one team can only win the thing instead of trusting there countries youth systems.
This manager is my age 63 and some say what would I know lol

Greece looked a far more lively side in the second leg. In contrast, Scotland seemed almost scared to play.
