The comments criticizing Tuchel for calling up BDB seemed to have dried up all of a sudden!?!?!

Close for me as to who was man of the match - Burn or Joelinton. Both were instrumental for shutting down Liverpool's attacking options - as exemplified by the number of times that Joelinton turned to the fans and flexed after bossing Liverpool and the fact that Burn completely negated Salah allowing Tino to bomb forward and threaten their right back with Barnes. So much for us being weak down our left because we had lost both Hall and Gordon. Burn just about shades it because of the goal which is always the glamourous side of football but I think the defensive work that Joelinton performed throughout the match really has to be given its due.

Joelinton was instrumental in stopping them stringing any movements together - they never got any rhythm going but Tonali and Bruno were great at that too. Trips and Tino were awesome as was Burn and I thought Schar had a very good game.
Barnes, Murphy and Isak played well and what a save from Pope.

Joelinton was immense, I agree, but, as Slot said, Burn never lost a duel, controlled Salah and scored a belter - he edges mom for me.

Burn just about shades it for me, mostly for his defensive prowess and how he dealt with Salah. The goal was just the icing on the cake. Joelinton was just behind him, doing the role that Didier Deschamps I believe iirc described as being the water carrier. Doing the unglamorous stuff in midfield. Livramento and Tonali were also immense and Murphy yet again popped up and provided Isak with an assist, something that he seems to be unnaturally gifted at doing.

One thing I would say, who on earth would consider leaving this to join a second rate failure of a club like Arsenal? You can clearly see from the the reactions of our two Brazilians just how much the club and the city have impacted on them. Simply not happening even if the likes of Arsenal could afford who they are supposedly interested in. Premier league players these days are earning so much whoever they play for, even if it be the likes of Bournemouth or Brentford that it doesn't really matter if x or y club can offer a bit more. If you are made to feel at home, and it is very clear that our players are at the moment, then there is little reason to leave, especially if you are able to win things as we have just done.

As an aside, when Bruno and Trippier lifted the cup, was that Lascelles at the back that lifted it with them? If so, a nice touch imo - the three captains from our recent journey since the takeover.
