    Crikey that’s a lot.
I’m on a meter and just checked, am paying ?24 month.
Last year was ?36, so I must be using less.
As a general rule, if got larger household numbers then rates might be advantageous
Low numbers in house better off with a meter.

Get a meter for free, use it for a year.
If your bill is lower keep it.
If not go back to normal. Easy.

Same here Crash over 20 years since was paying ?36 month, put water meter in total for year ?212.
A big saving, plus if you decide not to use the meter reading for paying your bill, & return to normal billing after 12 months, they just leave the meter in, this was in a 3 bedroomed house.
Now in a bungalow with water meter, ?26 a month.

Mother in law moved next door about 7 year ago and we had a water meter fitted for her. She was paying ?28 for the first 3 years. That's her using my hosepipe to water her garden.
Her son moved back in with her usage/cost went up to ?47. Now ?52. which TBH was been about what I was paying.
I get things go up but ?250 more is taking the pizz.
5 peeps in the house plus I keep koi which requires water changes through the warmer months so maybe I'm paying what I should be.

Save money get showered / bath's at mother-in-laws, keep popping round for a cuppa, do the cooking at her home, save on water then for veg, plus your energy bills go down.
    Jobs a good-un.
