Just posted a ?128 million profit after selling their womens team to themselves.
Honestly, they sold the team so its a stand alone business but that still remains a part of Bohelys group.
So the PL will intervene if they think a sponsorship deal is too high but not in this case? Its a complete p*ss take.
No disrespect to woman footy, but 128 mln? Given that NUFC deal was 300?
When there are rules there are work-around, caveats and exceptions.
What we are seeing is fundamental issues with the way the Premier League is run & those who are running it.
The forms of financial controls are not-fit-for-purpose. The Original ?105m losses over 3 yrs was a figure plucked out of thin air and has not increased inline with inflation since the conception some 10 yrs ago. However, the status quo voted to keep that value in place.
Chelsea are finding holes in the rules to drive their financial losses through. It makes a mockery of 'Sustainability' but that is what happens when you bring in 'Sustainability rules'.
Never in the history of the sport has governing bodies brought in rules to stop clubs spending money. It's utter nonsense brought in to placate the cartel clubs across Europe.
They are unlawful in the most part and legal challenges will ultimately see that the financial rules will be rescinded and removed.
Its being reported that UEFA will look into Chelseas dealings at the end of the season. Lets hope they arent as gutless and corrupt as the Premier League.
Juventus was banned by UEFA for 23-24 season, so there is a chance that they in fact could look into Chelsea?s case
I'm not sure but I believe Juve had been cooking the books. They inflated the value of players sold and recorded lower prices for player purchased. That is a clear and direct violation, it's basically fraud that in any business would see charges brought against the board of directors.
Juve's board stepped down and charges were filed.
Chelsea have used 10ft wide loopholes to drive their team bus of shady financial practices through. Whilst it's unethical, they & their legal team can probably contest that they is no 'wrong doing' in this matter.
What we folks believe is wrong is generally not considered a crime or unlawful/against the rules.
Remember rules are written to allow a small few with the means to break and avoid them whilst punishing and controlling the majority.
Rules are never set up to provide parity and fairness.
