    It was the little things...

as well as that great, big, MASSIVE achievement that made Sunday all the more special.

All the things other fans have been able to enjoy about a cup win that I've always watched them enjoy with envy dripping out of every pore. And now those things belong to us.

    In no particular order:

when the camera cut to the engraver putting our name on the cup
the celebrity fans genuinely celebrating because they're pne of us
watching the players climb the stairs with people patting them on the back
our colour ribbons on the cup
that moment when the final whistle blew
the announcements on the news on the telly and the radio
    the social media posts
the lifting of the cup itself
    Ours fans outsinging theirs
the camera zooming in to see the absolute mayhem in the stands and the joy on the faces
ditto the opposition fans standing in stony silence
    post-match interviews on the pitch

What have I missed? I'm sure there's loads more.

    Big Als hat flying off.

The feeling of entering inchartered waters on the final whistle.

AG doing a John Terry up the steps at the cup loft.

Years since Newcastle won something "0"

Actually watching the winners lift the cup and feeling something other than jealousy or anger.

Just absolute total pleasure since I celebrated the last one in 1955 with my mates in the air force doing national service in Germany

Oddly enough Zip, I remember it vividly as though it was just recent. My mates were from all different parts of the country, only one a City fan and all of the rest were willing us on particularly after the 3rd goal went in. That was the third F.A. Cup win in five years.

Imagine winning that today. In fact the West Indians composed a calypso about it. Calypsos were very popular pop songs those days and Edmundo Ross pinched it and had a hit with it.

    You missed:

Them facetiming Lewis Hall, with the trophy.

Andy Carroll waiting for them as they came down to congratulate them.

Bruno interupting BDB's interveiw to yell "he's from Blyth" before going again.

    Little, glorious things

That's as good as dead and buried. Just another bad taste from the past, got rid of just in time.

And I hope for good measure he reads these columns.

The classic of Lewis Hall running (as best he could!) onto the pitch at the final whistle with his leg in plaster.

Bruno pulling AG in front of the supporters after the game for a massive rendition of ?Oh Anthony Gordon

Eddie cold staring Thierry Henry at the pitch side interview when he tried to make a big deal of Bruno losing the ball for their goal

And of course, Murphy?s tin man walk when being substituted?😆
