    Severn Trent water

I had my water bill this morning and it has gone up from 508 quid to 608 quid which by my reckoning is an increase of 20% which is madness and to add insult to injury there was an advert on ITV3 at the time asking for a donation to Water Aid!
A 20% increase is a lot for me and I cant see how they can justify such an increase, electricity is sky high and I am dreading the council tax bill next month, retirement increased from 65 to 67 so things are looking grim

Serious question Chalky, are you on a water meter?

I live in a large house as you know, 2 bathrooms, 1 wc, washing machine etc.. Granted the 2 kids have somewhat left now but ours is about the same as yours?

Is Coco having 10 baths a day ?

No I am not on a meter,my complaint is that it has gone up by 20% from last year plus we have already been told to expect significant council tax increase this year, fuel bills have shot up over the last couple of years so now I have got to cut back on the little luxuries in life just to cover them,my days of bookies and takeaways are numbered

I would sooner sit in the cold eating Morrisons baked beans from a can than have someone live with me

I’m with Severn Trent and on a meter, just the two of us plus many visitors. ?38 per month, and I reckon that’s expensive.Seriously, If there’s just you and the bird, get a meter.

Easy way to cut your bills is to dilute it.

Pete.. have you seen the colour of that polluted River Trent?
I would not pay them a tenner a month
North West Water is a lot better and for Griff, Gloucestershire floods that much they are giving it away😎

You know what,Severn Trent are really p1ssing me off right now,got a letter this morning telling me that they are installing a meter outside my house that monitors water leakage,no big problem you may think but thats exactly what they did a month ago, what a waste of my money, five of them there was and the water cut off for two hours and now they are doing it all over again, its a total joke, just bracing myself for Nottingham City Councils council tax hike due to their overspending and mismanagement of money
