    OT Trump's Tariffs

Not football but though I'd guage your views. Lets keep it polite. 😁

Combo of Rachel from accounts and Trump I think. Just looked at my pension fund and performance has nosedived since 1st April already.

Glad I spread my fund choices when I did to hedge my bets but things are about to go south sgain I think.

Seems we have known nothing but perpetual austerity since 2008.

Been watching Gary Stevenson lately and I think he is spot on with everything.happing today financially. Working class, government no matter the colour are drained - they sold everything of value and now its the middle classes turn. Own nothing and be happy. I believe the French did something in 1789 about a similar situation.

Europe looks lost without their big brother standing behind them with regards to Russia and now the economy. Its amazing how much good the USA did around the world that they never got recognition for and only now that Trumps removed it people are noticing.
Germany was the largest european contributor to NATO, but the USA contributed over 5 times more. Trump has a point.
If Europe wants to continue heavily regulating the economy and importing criminals and poor people who will never integrate then accept the consequences and pay for it.
Its a Continent in decline which has been terribly managed/governed for too long and is being left behind by economies like China and the USA.

Everyone loves to hate America while expecting them pay for everything. Time to put up or shut up.

Oh, and friend of Epstein and all THAT entails.

As an ordinary citizen, all this would be appalling but, as president of the USA...?

I haven't even mentioned tariffs as my understanding of these things is minimal...but I know a cunt when I see one.

He might be a cunt, but sometimes it is what it takes to make a right call. Not saying he is making any.
EU Commission is an example of diffusion of responsibility. When there were tough call to make, no one wanted to be a bad guy. Now, when their main ally went off the rails, they all look at each other not knowing what to do.

Valid views with plenty of cntedom evidence onndisplay. A dispicable human for sure but I think this will benefit America in the long run...but it may take a while.

Europe has been freeloading on NATO for decades and a fair few of these tariffs are reciprocal but not all. If it was the UK in their position we'd love it.

Personally I think based on no clear proof I he'd love to see Europe at war with Russia then sit back and profit and later on when we've ground each other to dust sweep in and finish it like post WW1 and WW2 when we are all in massive debt.

It looks like economically right now its a bear market not disimilar to 1929 with about 20% knocked off stocks - 1929 had a 20% drop initially then went to 50%. Lets hope its doesn't reach those levels.

    Now that I can believe.

I also believe, should one side start losing to quickly he'd interfere to help the other.

    Thats s long list!

Hes not an adjudicated rapist and why do you say hes racist (never heard any accusation)?

Liar? Well, yes, hes a politician.

Bigot and mysoginist? Possibly but so are 90% of men who dont live in Europe or the USA.

Hes a tough cookie and (whether you agree with him or not) a true leader who, IMO, has opened negotiations with Putin to end the war and at the same time, benefit the USA, economically. (I dont believe any peace in Ukraine will be achieved by constantly criticizing and verbally attacking Putin/Russia).

Finally, Israel. I presume you mean Netanyahu? The first point is that there is a WAR going on in Gaza which started as a result of unprovoked and sickeningly violent attacks on Israeli civilians by Hamas. Hamas is the democratically elected government there ie. supported by (IMO the vast ) majority of the population. Hamas use their own people as shields hiding under schools and hospitals.

So, whos the war criminal again? Was Churchill a war criminal for bombing Berlin in WW II?
