    Hibs at home

This is a real 6 pointer for Europe

Their supporters don?t rate us as I don?t think we have brought our best against them yet

There was though the great finish by meschak last time we played them at tannadice.

We need to really go at them in this one

I?d like to see some width and wingers. I don?t think we carry much threat with the 5-3-2 and I prefer the 3-4-3 from earlier in the season

I also don?t think Paton is doing enough to justify his place and might be better as a busy sub later in the game if playing at all

Doc - great if he plays but he cannot last more than 30 mins atm. I prefer Luca on the right if he plays

I also think Middleton is import at nowadays for out ball and attacking threat

    Walton
    Manny Dec G Graham
    Strain Sevelj Doc Ferry
    Middleton Dalby Luca

Same team that started yesterdays second half for me. But then VDS brings something different to Paton and may give that Hibs defence something to occupy them for others to profit from.

I didn't think we were that good second half yesterday and created very little from open play once docherty went off, esp given Motherwell were by that stage having to commit bodies. Despite getting 4/6 PTS against Hibs this season, they have bosses us both games in the middle of the he park for long spells in those matches.

Not at Tannadice they didn't, they were fortunate to be level, Middleton's toenail was offside and it was a very good cross and finish

At Easter rd no doubt but that was probably our poorest showing of the season and look at the midfield we had that day, was a miracle we got a point

They got the rub of the green for years over us so we've had it a bit the last couple seasons we've competed with them, now we can make it 6 unbeaten against them hopefully 4 wins in a row at Tannadice over them

People are being a bit harsh about yesterday imo, there was pressure on us especially after losing that Killie game, was a bit nervy at times second half but still deserved to get the win, hopefully regain more composure in the final third now we've got that win

Is Sibbald ready to play a role in this game? Maybe not the full game but would love to see him snapping away and threading a few balls around. I just feel when he plays we?re quicker tempo and play slightly higher up the pitch. Also thought we were screaming out for Middleton on Saturday as we lack invention when he?s not present.

Agree on both points especially Middleton

I haven?t rated him previous seasons but he has stepped up this season. He is offering a lot and we are much better with him in the team

Massive game and difficult to predict the outcome, the kinda match i would never put a bet on.Hibs strength is going forward but they remain suspect at the back. The darling of Leith is Rocky Bushiri who is capable of scoring at one end and conceding for fun at the other.

I reckon the winners of this one depends on the mentality of Jim Goodwin,if he takes the shackles off his team and goes for it from the off there is every chance its a home win.If he goes for the more measured tactic of sitting in and inviting Hibs onto us we lose.Although Hibs had a wonderful result v Celtic and confidence will be sky high its worth noting that their players were going down like flies in the 2nd half of that game and all looked exhausted at the end.

Something else to take into consideration is their game next weekend is the Edinburgh derby at home to Hearts.I know we have The Sheep away but asking players for maximum physical effort against Celtic,United and Hearts in the same week is very difficult and they maybe forced to make changes against us because they have to be at full strength in the derby.

You never know but I'd be pretty sure we'll be cautious from the start...

I would love to see JG go with a more positive approach from the start but know he will be very conservative. Positive will catch the hibees out and get the crowd behind the team.

Results against Septic and Huns show that when a side is actually up for it and goes for a win against them it can be achieved.

Well we got our pts against them both sitting in, when we went for it against Rangers it played into their hands in the end, for me Hibs and StMurn got them at good times, not to take away from the wins, they are always good results

Going for it and allowing Hibs wingers to keep countering on our defence doesn't seem clever

I'd rather stay in a game than have to chase it too

It's a balance of course, we can't start the game passive that's the main thing and attack them of course but our success is in being better in second half after keeping it tight first half and we'd be crazy to forget that
