    Blackpool Post Match Thoughts

Well, what a week for Matt and the Millers! From the despair of just 7 days ago to the delight of today's late win. Theoretically 51pts should make us safe if not mathematically.

    Thoughts?

PS Magic number is now 7

Up to last Saturday was it the players, or was it the manager?

Hammy has waved his magic wand and a team of donkeys have been transformed into racehorses (well, sort of).

Proper football and two classy performances from Powell and Sibley.

Life is so much better with Matt Hamshaw and Keir Starmer!

The effort, the work rate, the desire, the togetherness is an enormous difference. Yes we have some difficult games coming up, but to get two wins after last Saturday with hardly any players, is outstanding. It is very clear there wasn't a happy playing staff under Evans but are we surprised about that

What a difference it makes when players aren?t being screamed at from the sidelines.

    Powell and James were outstanding

Blackpool could probably count themselves a bit unlucky to go home with nothing. We were poor in the second half and sat way too deep.
We were better in first half but were on the ropes for a long period in the second. But to be fair we had no subs to bolster the midfield. Sibley and Powell had very good games, Kelly ok but for me Mpsnzu needs to put more effort in or he can go back and be released by Luton. Some carelessness at the back from Odoffin and Humphreys but we got away with it.
On a positive note it was great to see the players bonding and the crowd appreciating it.
A good day and I think Mr Stewart will take a punt on Matt Hamshaw next year.

Sibley improved. Mpanzu same not for me. Players couldn't give no more all you could ask for. Hope MH gets the chance to rebuild the squad in the summer.

More structure today and definitely more effort.

Sibley was my man of the match. Creative in the first half and solid and tough in the second half.

Much better feeling around the place today.

Mpanzu was the weak link today. He should have been subbed. Everyone else had decent games. Powell my MOTM. Can't complain at 2 out of 2 for MH
