    Champions League

Wow what a finish to the season this is, we got 9 cup finals I honestly don?t know if we are going to make it. It?s great we have 5th place that will get us in, but we should aim for 4th and hope we finish (5th

Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City are certain for top 4.

    Forest could fall away.

Villa are out of Europe now they can focus on the top four. Are they still in the FA cup?

Chelsea are a danger they could put a run together.

It?s in our own hands, I want to see our games in hand played, the advantage of not playing in Europe has to pay dividends now, I?ll be bitterly disappointed if we don?t qualify.com

Sod aiming for 4th, we should be aiming for 2nd!

Win the 2 games we have in hand on Arsenal and we would just be 4 points behind them and have a game against them yet to play. It's a tall order I know but is within the realms of possibility (as are hell of a lot of other permutations to be honest).

But wouldn't it be great to beat them at their place on the penultimate weekend of the season to go above them, ideally with an Isak hattrick just to rub it in

And yes, Villa are still in the cup, they play Palace, Forest have City. I'm thinking Villa might be wishing that their goal difference was better, only +3, and with how tight it is for the champions league places that may well be their downfall

this is exactly my thinking too.

Forest and Arsenal dropped points again yesterday the only thing is , Arsenal have quite an easy run in so we are more likely to only be able to chase 3rd spot and im convinced it will be ours

Win the 2 in hand and beat Arsenal at the Emirates we're 1 point behind them.

We have Chelsea, Brighton and Arsenal to play before the end of the season. If we are to be a top 4 team and finish a head of these teams we have to beat them. It's as simple as that.

With our current momentum, confidence from winning the cup and the fans now in the mindset that we are winners why can't we beat these teams?

    I say we can!

Our away record is the 3rd best in the league behind the BinDips and the Gooners. 27 pts on the road from 16 games 8 wins.

At home we're 7th best 26 pts from 14, the next 2 will balance out our 'games played' and should add 6 more points taking us up to 4th on 32pts. Only bested by BinDips, Gooners & City.

Not bad for a team that has had, what we nowadays consider a not so good league season!

    We can absolutely finish 2nd.

I like the cut of your jib Xamand.

Chelsea are on the beach. We will beat them. Forest are having a wobble, it is a test of character for them in the position of great pressure. We experienced it 2 seasons ago and handled it with great aplomb.

City will grind and make the UCL places. Pep will ensure that, KDB put on a master class in the last game to prove he's world class in his swansong for the club.

Villa look to have the upward momentum and will be in the mix. Their 2nd leg against PSG will be pivotal. Will they be gutted if they are KO'd? Will being KO'd focus them on the league and motivated them to get back to the UCL? Will Cashford down tools and head for the beach?

All that is interesting but, it's all in Newcastle United's hands. We want to be a top Premier League side, we want to win more trophies and titles. To do that we have to beat the best.

We play Brighton, Villa, Chelsea & Arsenal on run in. It's in our hands. Our midfield is the best in the league, no question. We have the best striker in the league. I'd say we have one of the best 2 or 3 managers in the League.

The boys want to be Champions League players, over to them to achieve that.

It's all quite possible. The run in we have isn't to frightening and Arse-anal are having a few blips, as well as Forest as the end looms near.

Just imagine in our 2n'd last game we played at the Gooners as we played the semi final. We would wipe them of the pitch and deservve to finish above them.

It is all out there to be won.

We'll have to see how it works out. Game by game as Howe would say.

Credit to Mad Dog Tindle for keeping the ship steady whilst the gaffer gets back to full health.

Palace shipped 5 at City, we're in rude form, confidence is up and we're aggressive and hungry.

It's the wrong time for a mid-table team with nothing to play for to come to SJP and face us.

I don't care how we win we just need to keep stacking the points.

I think 2nd is possible but unlikely given Arsenal fixtures but I think 3rd is very much on. Why not? 2.5 mill per place in the PL standings, all to play for.

I would love 2nd though and it could come down to the Emirates fixture - they will be feeling the heat from us for sure and if its on by then I'd back us.

BTW, I reckon AG should start tomorrow and then back to Barnes for Sunday. I think we should go at Palace hard and fast as they don't like it. Methodical, slow football plays into their hands and we don't want to give them a sniff. Finish it at half time then rest players. The Vlla game will be huge.

Honestly, if you offered me 4 points from the next two games, I think I'd take it.
